  one thing i find out about more and more every week is that sooo many of you who post here are working, quietly and without fanfare, behind the scenes.

  helping get the word out to local and national newspapers, helping people like vicki, supporting those who've filed lawsuits against the wts, developing personal relationships with other posters...what we see on the board is just the tip of the iceberg.. i'll not name names (you know who you are thank you.. craig

  How Do You Handle Death?

  for most witnesses, the ressurection hope keeps survivors going.

  i knew of some jw's that were in such denial that they would want to believe that "they're just sleeping but are still alive to jehovah.

  " others would bust themselves "in the work", while others would "mourn as the nations do".

  My nephew suicided 11 weeks ago. At the service, my brother spoke about how his youngest daughter asked him how she would recognise her brother when he came back.

  She is only about 7, and she couldn't/wouldn't attend the service, her choice.

  That was the first death that really affected me, he did it for many reasons that I understand.

  I cried for the first time in 30 years.

  I'm usually OK about death, we are born, we grow, we die. I'm looking forward to growing old and going. But I think each death affects all of us differently.

  I think this question is, how long is a piece of string.

  Being uprooted from a comfortable life at age 10 to go serve where the need is greater. A cong of about 6 old people. I spent 4 years without a solitary friend my age. Having EVERYBODY in a town pop 4600 know you are the Jovahs was a real killer. When we moved back home, I'd been forgotten. Could not wait to get out

  I've only been here a coupla months and knew the question would have been asked before. Thanks for the link back.

  It's something I have thought about often over the years. My view is he'd be locked up straight away. I just could never work out who'd be at the front of the queue

  In Australia we have www.schoolfriends.com.au that you can put your details in for all schools tafe or unis that you have attended. It now allows you to list by workplace. Maybe there is an American equivalent that does the same.

  NEED HELP! WTS accusing Dirtclod.com of copyright infringement

  i just got this email this evening from the cto of my hosting provider: i am writing you in regards to your site www.dirtclod.com.

  we have been forwarded a copy of a complaint that was sent to our upstream provider regarding your site and the content which is posted on your site.

  it would seem that you are posting copyrighted sections and images which are legal property of watchtower bible and tract society of new york inc. please remove these offending letters and images which are being claimed are used without permission, or provide us a statement which allows you to publish/reproduce this content on your website.
