so i haven't been to a meeting for about two months now, but the program for tomorrow's special assembly day here in the uk looks like it could be a good opportunity for me to gather some info.

take a recording device and get some much needed ammunition to use to try and get my parents to stop going.. it looks like the program is going to be very "you need to trust the organisation" based.

i don't want to go, but like i said it could be a good opportunity.

Please explain why the elders are doing this to us

got a phone call today from a couple from our ex congregation.

he was visited again by two elders(one in training) again.

third shepherding call within two months.

My fleshly brother has been going through a similar thing. Last time the elders randomly called round as soon as he opened the door they walked in and said "are we having a cup of tea then?" I was there and all I wanted to say was "WTF?!" Just so happened we were having a nice quiet evening (although I was well and truly souped up on half a bottle of Jack Daniels) and we didn't want disturbing especially by elders wanting the low down on why they hadn't been to meetings in 6 months. My bro said he couldn't discuss it with them because if he did he would be kicked out for apostasy. You can't go quietly, you get shunned either way man. You are on their database and you are marked. It's well and truly messed up.

Hey man. Thanks for such a great response.

I guess part of me wants to see my friends there and maybe tactfully fill them in on my current stance, but the chances are that will get me DF'd. And my parents need more than just a push, which is a shame, they need a real slap around the face. They have been a part of it all for a combined 90+ years and they have full trust and confidence in the org. My brother and I have recently got out and with research and study been able to prove the org is false from both a scriptural standpoint as well as a physical/ethical standpoint.

Perhaps what I need to do is spend a couple of hours just compiling some info at home for them to consider. They have listened to things I have said but they have always had a generic response. I hate the thought of breaking down something they have dedicated their entire lives to and believe in but at the same time I know it's damaging. They are tired of waiting for the end, and I don't want to be shunned by them or by my extended family.

It's crazy isn't it that in standing up for what is right, I lose everything. Jesus spoke of that happening in scripture, but the org always apply it to themselves.

if a pedophile has cried before the body of elders, is it possible he can be trusted to watch over the sheep and be a valuable tool against satan's hateful apostates?

nobody is stepping up to the plate to fill the positions of ministerial servant and elder, using pedophiles might take the load off the four elder congregations and give personal needed shepherding calls to single mothers.

This whole pedophile thing is really gathering momentum and properly coming into the light. Hopefully some serious law enforcement will be made soon on the witnesses. If you mentioned this kind of thing to an JW they would flat out deny that there is such a problem. I have no doubt during the 26 years I had been a JW either shook the hand of or shared a hall with many offenders. I personally know 6 people that were abused. And that is why I am happy not to be married and bringing up children in such an environment.

ELDERS STEPPING DOWN

between two congregations that i know of four elders have stepped down in the last two months!

there is something really going on in this mandmade organization!

it's busting at the seams!.

I stepped down from being a servant two years ago or so. Said I just couldn't do it anymore, couldn't give my reasons because they would have switched off to my mentally diseased reasoning. However I remember the announcement being pretty brutal. I stepped down of my own accord but then rumours started spreading and people stopped talking to me. It was like holy shit get over yourselves. So many pious back stabbing people in the org.

However I was approached by an elder not long after and he was asking my advice whether he should step down or not. It was a strange conversation for sure. But I think he will be doing so or a least has done since I stopped attending a few months back. I know my dad has wanted to step down numerous times. But he stayed on so he could attend the annual meeting. So at least he has his shiny new bible that he can use on the platform while all the other hardworking brothers and sisters get to use their inferior black ones.

When you actually sit and think about it, the control over the mind that they have is terrifying. Let's just say thank God for the Internet, because it is the Internet that is 100% unstoppable and it is this vehicle that is bringing all this info to the masses.

Oooooo, maybe that's why they they advise having computers in a public place in the house, not because of the temptation to look at porn, but because they don't want members of the family doing something as simple as googling "Jehovahs Witnesses". Lol. Lovely can of worms!! :)
