nobody is stepping up to the plate to fill the positions of ministerial servant and elder, using pedophiles might take the load off the four elder congregations and give personal needed shepherding calls to single mothers.

This whole pedophile thing is really gathering momentum and properly coming into the light. Hopefully some serious law enforcement will be made soon on the witnesses. If you mentioned this kind of thing to an JW they would flat out deny that there is such a problem. I have no doubt during the 26 years I had been a JW either shook the hand of or shared a hall with many offenders. I personally know 6 people that were abused. And that is why I am happy not to be married and bringing up children in such an environment.

Should I go to the special assembly day tomorrow?

so i haven't been to a meeting for about two months now, but the program for tomorrow's special assembly day here in the uk looks like it could be a good opportunity for me to gather some info.

take a recording device and get some much needed ammunition to use to try and get my parents to stop going.. it looks like the program is going to be very "you need to trust the organisation" based.

i don't want to go, but like i said it could be a good opportunity.

ELDERS STEPPING DOWN

between two congregations that i know of four elders have stepped down in the last two months!

there is something really going on in this mandmade organization!

I stepped down from being a servant two years ago or so. Said I just couldn't do it anymore, couldn't give my reasons because they would have switched off to my mentally diseased reasoning. However I remember the announcement being pretty brutal. I stepped down of my own accord but then rumours started spreading and people stopped talking to me. It was like holy shit get over yourselves. So many pious back stabbing people in the org.

However I was approached by an elder not long after and he was asking my advice whether he should step down or not. It was a strange conversation for sure. But I think he will be doing so or a least has done since I stopped attending a few months back. I know my dad has wanted to step down numerous times. But he stayed on so he could attend the annual meeting. So at least he has his shiny new bible that he can use on the platform while all the other hardworking brothers and sisters get to use their inferior black ones.

so if their is any doubts they will scare it out of the rank and file!

When you actually sit and think about it, the control over the mind that they have is terrifying. Let's just say thank God for the Internet, because it is the Internet that is 100% unstoppable and it is this vehicle that is bringing all this info to the masses.

Oooooo, maybe that's why they they advise having computers in a public place in the house, not because of the temptation to look at porn, but because they don't want members of the family doing something as simple as googling "Jehovahs Witnesses". Lol. Lovely can of worms!! :)

A lot of propaganda in this article in my opinion. Look at the number 3 talks. The "right religion" and then in the final meeting about kids becoming publishers. Reminds me of the annual general meeting comments about actively steering children toward baptism and being publishers.

Hi everyone, my name is Mellow (some names have been changed) lol. As no doubt many of you were, I was born in. I am now in my mid 20s living in a Jehovah's Witness household. I'm a guy from the UK and live in West Yorkshire. I enjoyed the standard closed upbringing many other Jehovah's Witnesses partake of. I was baptised at 12, was a hard working publisher, also a member of the RBC team, became a ministerial servant in my early 20s but for the last 5 years or so I have just been going through the motions and doing what everyone expected of me but of course not what I felt was right.

It has only been in recent months that I have begun to drift from the organisation. However I think people have expected it for a while ever since I grew some glorious facial hair that was quickly perceived as a sign of rebellion. Jesus had a beard, that's all it needs to be said on that subject. However as it is understood by many here no doubt I'm faced with unrestrained family shunning as well as the loss of all my friends that I've acquired over the past 20+ years. Thankfully my brother and his wife have both now begun to agree with my original suspicions and doubts about the organisation. So at least I can turn to them for support to some degree.

However I'm very happy to be here and will hopefully receive the support, help and guidance of many who have faced and who are facing a similar horrible unnatural situation. I am still technically a Jehovah's Witness, but I highly doubt this will be for much longer as at the end of the day you have to be true to yourself. It upsets me that there must be so many in the organisation that feel the same way but are trapped inside the very box many believe to be the truth.

I'm looking forward to many a lively discussion here and please wish me all the best with my rehabilitation and discovery of a normal life. I'm sure many will agree that there are many many beautiful people in the org, but its scary how that love they have for you can just switch off, and I have noticed it so quickly. But it's being dictated to them.
