  DJS, Your 100000 years do not match with reality!

  If Human History is that many years old, what could be the present population on earth? Would it not be UNIMAGINABLY greater than the present 7.12 billion? Let us start from something concrete, and go backward! According to United States Census Bureau, world population was 2 Billion in 1927 and 4 Billion in 1974 and will be 8 Billion in 2026. That means population almost doubles about 50 years.
  
  

  Now let us make a simple calculation! Though a couple can produce four children in about four years, let us give a too liberal 160 YEARS TO PRODUCE JUST FOUR CHILDREN! Suppose the human tree starts with just 8 people (or 4 couples), and each couple produces 4 children each in 160 years (and then the original couples/parents pass away). Now the history is 160 years old and population of the earth is just 16 (or 8 couples). These 8 couples produce 32 children (or 16 couples) in another 160 years, and the parents pass away. Now the history is 320 years old, and population is 32. If we go on calculating like this, earth’s population will be 17.17 Billion in just 4960 years (160 years x 31 = 4960). [Yet the present population is only 7.12 Billion, and the excess of over 10 Billion would adequately provide room for all those who remained childless for various reasons and all those who died prematurely due to war, accident, diseases … etc]

  I am talking about EVOLUTION (Cofty, what are you talking about?)

  In ultimate analysis, Theory of evolution taught through school books did more harm than help. People started investing all their time and effort in pursuing their careers and climbing the professional ladder as they believed this life is all what there is. Then later most discover that their victory is empty and that they won it at an irreparable loss to their health, family and psyche, incurring obesity, heart disease and fatigue on the physiological front; separated spouse, estranged children and uncared-for parents on the familial front; frustration, depression and stress on the physio-psychological front. The World Health Organization predicts that stress will be the number one killer in the world by 2020. And stress is usually nothing more than an individual's failure to balance his lifestyle. Living life in a healthy manner and living it fully means we have to maintain regular food habits and follow a sensible diet, regular exercise and rest, going out with family, working for charity and spending some time in reflection, talking to God in meditation …. Etc.

  Very few people like Albert Einstein have really understood the secret of life; he said: “Try not to become a man of success, but rather to become a man of value.” Materialistic view, as implied in Evolution theory, is unlikely to help us to become men of value, as Einstein envisioned!

  Instead of viewing man as having originated from mere matter, what an appreciation Shakespeare had:

  “What a piece of work is man!

  How noble in reason!

  How infinite in faculties!

  In form and moving how express and admirable!

  In apprehension how like a God.”

  Whenever evidence for moral decline is presented, some would dismiss it saying: "No, we are living in the best part of history, such talk is stupid and so on.

  Prevention is better than cure relates to all aspects of our life, not just medicine. Context is that: Why fight terrorism, instead can't we prevent it? Devise political system that does not give rise to extreme ideologies!

  We have a history of abandoning the wise habits.

  1) The ancient Greeks–the finest of people, physically and mentally, that ever lived–ate only two meals a day (which gave the body enough time to complete the digestion process fully and to concentrate on toxin/waste removal [toxin and waste provide fertile ground for germs to multiply], which gave them peaceful sleep with body too being at full rest, permitting the sleep mechanism to do its intended job perfectly. [But we preferred to eat whatever we want and whenever we want giving overload to body, becoming obese, and then going for exercise to reduce weight .....]

  2) In ancient India, one of the greatest laws was: “If a beggar is found in a kingdom, king would automatically be disqualified from continuing as king.” [We are now creating beggars in our kingdoms}

  3) Nikola Tesla offered to distribute electricity free of charge to all consumers, and he had the technology too for that. Yet our commercial mind abandoned listening to such wisdom.

  Most of the bible stories are pagan--including resurrection of Lazarus--a most important event (and probably the last miracle) that could not be recalled by the first three gospel writers!!!

  There are clear parallels between the "Jesus raising Lazarus" story and the Egyptian "Horus raising "El-Azar-Us" or "El-Osiris" story.

  What you feel is right with regard to all those who meditate, yet not right with all those who REALLY meditate. The difference is like that of smelling a plastic flower and an actual flower. Just saying all are going to Colleges and studying is not enough! Why do students fare differently in same college, studying same syllabus, under same professors? Very rarely one may get 100 out of 100! When I did my post-graduation on YOGA, I got only 80%, but my friend got 99 out of 100--first time in the history of that University.

  Going to Delta frequency is not that easy [people find it difficult to reach even Beta, Alpha, Theta frequencies! If so, how can they reach Delta? But, once you are through, then you are in a wonderland--inexplicable, you are in bliss, you experience a presence of real love where your problems get solutions automatically. Yet going to Delta with some selfish motive will defeat its very purpose--it's a stage where agape meets THE AGAPE!
