  @GoneAwol about the widow who threw 2 coins in the treasury box ,.. Who's treasury box? And in Mark we see that many rich people threw a lot of money in... so who knows how much was already in the treasury box, i think a surplus and more than they did need.

  The treasury was usually a building or a room, where money or other valuables are kept for security. Numbers 31:54 indicates that at an early period “the tent of meeting” served, in a sense, as a sacred treasury holding contributed gold.
  
  There is never money left over since we use all of it at a certain time when needed.

  @GoneAwol imagine there is a big disaster somewhere and in that country are a lot of foreigners. right away the country where those foreigners belong to will send a plane to evacuate their citizens before they do anything else. That is also how we think about our 'nation"

  @DS211 Next month one of our magazines is about the media. It does not say that all of us must stop watchting the news, stop reading papers or stop getting informed. But it does say that one should be cautious with newsgathering.

  well the same goes for charities. They do not say that one should not give to charities but they do warn to have a good look to which charity you give and what the charity does with gifts. But imagine for example you lost someone to heart disease, it makes sense to give to the heart foundation (like i do because i lost my dad to that disease) so that they can do more research.

  @DS211 Of course i give to the poor. I do that each week and All of them are non JW's. The retirement thing you mention is not relevant here since i live in a welfare state and retirement plans are/were mandatory. So i simply dont know anyone with such a problem

  @GonaAwol Good question study Gods word and ask yourself why He made a distinction between Israelites and heathens,.. True christians and fake christians, Pagans and believers etc etc.

  @DS211 As a matter a fact i do. I directly support a Nigerian family in Lagos. And indirectly i support them too by contributions for the building fund of KH's in developing countries and contributions to the World Wide Work. How many african families do you support?

  @GoneAwol i answered that already based on the bible. They belong to the same household and we are urged by gods word to do good to all but especially to those with the same religion.

  Correct within Gods household people are all equal. Outside Gods household this is different

  @jhine i dont know why you bring up such an off topic subject and adress it to me. But the theocratic warfare mumbo jumbo does not impress me. in a world with people you have to deal with people. People are not perfect, they make mistakes and sometimes are dishonest. I have learned not to stigmatise and judge groups/races based on the experience i have with one of even some members of it.
