What this sentence really means in witnesses speak is if you are 100 years old, terminally I'll, or something similar, they won't pressure you to work harder for the org.
They will pressure for 15 minutes a month
this makes me fume while i sit listening to this at the sunday beeting.... "hence, an elder who is tenderly compassionate does not try to control the sheep, making rules or using guilt to pressure them to do more when their circumstances do not permit them to.-w15 2/15 pp.
5-9. now this sentence makes the elders sound like they should not control, use guilt to pressure etc... but then it has a qualifying statement no one seems to hear.
when their circumstances do no permit them to.

fellow witnesses - do you think the kingdom hall belongs to you, just because you all paid for it and personally finance its maintenance?
think again, sheep!
the "shepherds" have announced the fleecing in black & white for you, in case you decide to question them!.
The European Branch translated this WT in my language a little bit different. Translated back in english it reads:
A Kingdom Hall is a building - dedicated to Jehovah, and thus the hall actually belongs to him – regardless of who the registered owner is.
SO, no alarm clock in our country on the 26th or 27th of September "WT-Question & Answer-hour" :-)
i've been lurking for about 3 months now and thought i'd better finally sign up.
you have all been an immense help to me as i have come to realize that this isn't the truth so i want to say a great big thank you!
what a crazy, emotional ride it is to finally face the truth about the doubts that i have carried for many years.

Yes, I have done the same. Reading, reading and reading.
Welcome on board.
On top of that I've read/scanned through almost every Watchtower publication from the 1880's to the 1970's. I have a very strong need to gather info and read like crazy at the moment! Is this normal?

greetings, fellow posters and friends:.
i have noticed that jws on fb post a great deal from their website.
it's ready-made witnessing material, namely, videos, links to reading materials, comments on the tv show, etc.
In JW-land you can only speak and write about things ...
... so that you can enjoy an encouraging and upbuilding interchange with the brothers and sisters.*** km 10/99 p. 7 ***

The GB has to fleece the sheep - to fulfill Ezek. 38:10-12:
... to attack the devastated places that are now inhabited and a people regathered from the nations, who are accumulating wealth and property, those who are living in the center of the earth.’ ” (Ezek. 38:10-12)

I never thought about this, but with this WT I realized it.
hellloooo fellow apostates, mentally diseased devil worshippers :) how is everyone?.
today, i listened to a song about praying and how one can pray anywhere.
well, this song brought back the horror of sitting in restaurants, mcdonalds, coffee shops etc and having a group of brothers and sister bow their head and pray for what seemed to be an eternity.
(Matthew 6:5, 6) 5 “Also, when YOU pray, YOU must not be as the hypocrites; because they like to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the broad ways to be visible to men. Truly I say to YOU, They are having their reward in full. 6 You, however, when you pray, go into your private room and, after shutting your door, pray to your Father who is in secret; then your Father who looks on in secret will repay you.
1000 years <<like>> 1 day
Praying for a meal 2 hours later at home <<like>> some seconds later for god.
Should be no problem for him ;-)
i know of the local congregation's issues, per an elder i know quite well.
he has said that nearly everyone in the congregation is suffering emotionally and mentally.
he said he has never seen so many witnesses with so many problems.
Yes - JWs are hppy - because they live in the "spiritual paradise"
WT 2015-07-15 page 9 § 13
The existence of a spiritual paradise in the midst of a wicked, corrupt, and loveless world is a modern-day miracle! The wonders about Jehovah’s organization, or “Zion,” and the truth about the spiritual paradise must be joyfully passed on “to future generations.”
i do believe it is written somewhere in jw literature .
Crisis of Conscience
***w81 2/15 p.19 Do We Need Help to Understand the Bible?***
Born in's can prove there religion:
*** sm p. 16 par. 4 The Need to Search for the Truth ***
4 The man who truly surrenders himself to God is the one who carefully examines all aspects of the religion he was born into. If he finds it is true, he remains with it. But if he finds it is false, he sets out to find the true religion.
.
.
7 Yes, we may have received our religion from our parents, and we respect our parents. We owe them much, and many of the things they have given us are very good. But that does not mean we have to accept everything they say without thinking. Our parents are human, as we are. They make mistakes, as we do. In fact, many of the problems that we have to live with today are because of things that our parents’ generation did. They did not do them deliberately to make things hard for us. They just made mistakes, because of being human.
8 Hence, a wise man will examine the things he has received from his parents, including his religion. He will keep the good things and reject those things that are not good. This is essential if he is to find the truth about religion.
