Have you ever seen a ghost?

i have never seen ghosts, or had any experiences relating to ghosts.

but i know that many have had personal experiences.

if you have had an experience, can you tell me what you think of this experiment as an explaination.

i found this article interesting & just wanted to share.

after going through my teenage years trying to be the perfect jw, i realized that trying to live up to the standards imposed on me have been for worse & not for better.

i was feeling miserable, repressed, unfulfilled, with a great lack of self confidence & self esteem.

Thank you for this find. Very interesting but sad outcome for her wedding night. I became a JW when I was an adult and after I had my first child. I am not in a position to comment, but I would be interested in knowing if any other JWs felt the same on their wedding day.

That was an interesting conversation. She came out with all the expected jw nonesense though. You handled yourself well, I am glad you showed her respect, friendship and gave her your time. You showed her you are nice even though you have left.

Can a JW go home for Christmas ??

jw love to make a big deal about christmas but the reality is alot of people have time off work from christmas to new years.

we like to go home.

with me being an ubm does it become an issue within the cong ?

We always went to visit family at Xmas, it's when the kids were off. We went in the summer too during the 6 weeks holiday they get in England. Kate xx

Wt wouldn't have so many members if they weren't naturally so idolotrous. These JWs just love to follow the leader and have the trinkets and photos. Really sad how some JWs are so caught up in it all. Kate xx

i had a conversation with my wife today about child abuse as it's in the news, and i managed to slip in the fact that wt (not an individual, but the .org itself) has just been ruled against in the states to the tune of 13 million or so.

she knows i'm opposed to the procedures we have in place, and she can definitely see that it makes sense to go straight to the police, and said she would do immediately if it were our children.

we had a fairly local case where the elders positively marched the offender to the station themselves, and good for them for doing so, but she most likely thinks everyone would do that out of common sense.

a letter was read today from bethel addressed to all congregations in britain that can only be described as the biggest news for years.the main points:.

I'm sure a WT strategy must be to liquidate hard assets, convert them into cash, then move the cash offshore, thereby shielding it from potential lawsuits.-ADCMS

That is a really good point. I just thoguht they would pay up when instructed. You're probably right, they may very well try to hide liquid funds. What a bunch of greedy so an so's. Kate xx

So you're in the undecided camp for now. It's interesting that you found the experiment conclusions reasonable. I can't understand thaqt if a person who has seen ghosts, does the experiment and realises it's not a ghosts, why would they still think they had seen a ghost?
