Do you still believe in God?
by FormerlySandL ini never thought i would admit it, but i don't.
i might superstitiously have some kind of doubt but digging a bit deeper in my heart i really don't believe in god.
as a human i could never just sit and watch people be tortured, live years of abuse, suffer from illness and disabilities and all the other awful things people have to endure day after day without doing something about it.

I pray to my milk everyday. The answer is always yes, no or wait.
Seriously though I do believe in a creator, but I don't think he cares about us,

A fresh start
by FormerlySandL inafter the worst introduction i could ever make on the forum i would like to reintroduce myself and make a fresh start on the forum and hopefully over time i will be able to redeem myself.
i have changed my user name which was over dramatic and ridiculous in the cold light of day but for transparency and to show i am not trying to hide anything i have adapted the original name and it now has a more positive feel.
after reading a lot of posts on this forum i am feeling more optimistic about my future.

Formerly,
Your story is very detailed and specific, anyone reading it would instantly recognise you. If you're sure now you could avoid DF'ing perhaps you should be a little more discrete with details.
But as far as your story is concerned I am glad you did not opt for the unhappy marriage. I can see how that would cause divisions.

Did you KNOW Ray and Cynthia or the legal copyright holder? Only a few maybe had limited contact.
by blondie ini have known all of them over the last 15 years, talked at length with them, and knew what their wishes were, the copyright holder and spouse spent even more time with them socially and helping them set up their arrangements for when ray and cynthia passed.
i don't believe that anyone else on this board or others was a confidant.
there is no need to prove it to anyone but the copyright office which is satisfied with this.

There is a new poster that would benefit from COC.

I am leaving the JW's . I am alone and scared. Advice and help needed please
by scared and lonely ini am sorry that on my first post i am asking for help and advice but i am at my wits end.

i am an ex-elder and pioneer and i don't know anybody outside of the congregation.. i have been unhappy for so long and wanted to leave.

Scared and Lonely,
I have just seen your post now and I can see you are in immanent danger of being disfellowshiped as you have already disagreed with doctrine openly, and you are regarded as an apostate.
I am in the UK too. Liverpool. You are not from my circuit I would recognise you. It's a real shame. Where in the UK are you? I gave up my career to pioneer and when I left WT I had no way to support myself.
I now work in the CAB, citizens advice, they will help you with housing, employment and benefits. Alliteratively I can help you personally. I will send you my phone number in a PM.
This is totally the reason I still post here to help ones like you.

Need to vent: My loathing for the JW cult increases more and more, while my wife clings more and more to it
by goingthruthemotions injust as i think my loathing for the jw cult has peaked, it goes higher and higher.
i wish this cult would just go away.
i wish my wife would just wake up.

GTTM,
You seem pretty stressed. You are clearly worried about the repercussions of leaving while your wife is still in and you feel sick to the stomach staying in. You need to think about changing something as you are really stressed and it's not doing any of you any good.
Hope you take the leap soon and free yourself.

What makes a WORLD famous musician?
by The Rebel inmy brother attended a college for those who " f..led" up at school and got a second chance to do the exams.
anyway george michael and andy ridgley, were two of those fu..k ups, and my brother was quite friendly with both.
as a result i met george and andy before they found fame with wham.. geri hallaway ( spice girl) also came from watford when she grew up and was a friend of my sister ( her mum a j.w) and i once spoke with geri on the phone when she rang asking to speak with my sister.

Yes Rebel it was a little village called Hatch End close to Bushey Heath, that's where I grew up and where Andrew Ridgleys parents lived in the 80's. It was in a road called Braeside Close, it was after Wham were already famous and I don't think Andy ever lived with his parents there, they just came to visit.
It's nice that we have something in common Rebel

It's all about the PR, Rebel. Good PR makes a good performer and one who does exactly as the producers say. To be talented doesn't come into it.
By the way I used to deliver milk and newspapers to Andrew Ridgley's parents home, and we often used to see George and Andy locally walking about.

Wannexit,
Thank you so much for telling us this news. It's great that she is totally awake and she is also reading CoC this will keep her from doubting anything and help her to remain out.
Well done
