  More like the WT reporters are the "spin doctors" reporting false stories. Dec 2013 Awake. should we trust everything in the media, same goes for WT reports.

  Baptismal regeneration

  i've decided to start a thread on christian theology, wherein i will lay out what i believe scripture teaches about baptism... because i can.

  throughout the first 1500 years of christian history, it was universally understood that the christian is 'born again' at water baptism (and the majority of christians still hold to this) but then many christians started to argue that baptism was just a symbol of obedience, but i posit that nowhere in the bible will you find a verse that claims baptism is just a symbol, instead scriptural references to baptism always claim that it actually achieves something:.

  john 3:5 - born of water and spirit.

  That is so encouragiing to hear. You are truly a kind person. Shame our cong is not like that.

  I am afraid I disagree on the other point. Your persoanl account is personal, but religious charitable organisations are expected to be transparent to there donors or any who may be thinking of donating. That is the purpose of the monthly accounts reports in congs worldwide.

  There will be a combined monthly report also, but it is kept secret unlawfully.

  A mistake in fading 4 months ago is coming back to haunt me... HELP!!

  so today, two elders from a congregation i was in two years ago came by the house.

  they said they wanted to talk to me about things that they have heard, and that they want to talk to me very quickly, as soon as possible.

  perhaps before this week ends.. i don't know what to do!!

  Well done nice thread. You took control back. I am gutted and jealous, I was prepared to have my JC meeting last night. But it didn't happen. Well done with your mum as well.

  Now you need to plan the meeting, or do what yadda said. The point is you are in control. The more of us that go to meetings and record them the better we will be at exposing the badness of the cult.

  If you are not up to it that's ok, but you mentioned recording is leagl in Canada. So you have thought about it. Think some more.

  Should I move officially to this new cong?

  so i got in college recently (petroleum engineering), which is 150+ miles away from my home town.

  i started to go to the meetings once in a while to please my parents because i hate lieing to them, although i did several times regarding meetings.. last time an elder - special pioneer - came to me at the hall and asked me if i had already thought about transfering my 'files' aka.

  publisher card to that congregation.

  You are doing really well for your age. I am assuming you are in the UK as you said 150 miles? The fact you haven't posted much because of exams is understandable.

  The fact that you overcame the "spiritual help" to get to college is great and still manage to get financial support from your parents. Well done.

  There is plenty of advice here. My advice to you would be, make sure you are in control of when and how you leave. If you must make sacrifices make sure you are in a positon to cope with losses. Be prepared, and try and get an exit plan.

  Moving your cards or not, must be a decision you make yourself. Don't let family members and elders control you. You need to firgure out the best solution after reading everyones advice carefully, then take control.
