i think she is a hypocrite and i bet she sells her invites to fornicators, or does she ask them if they are having sex before marrige, before she takes their money?.

i was never like this when i was a jw, it's even more disturbing that she is going to ask her elders what to do.

Sexual promiscuity has nothing to do with sexual orientation. If people are disposed to being promiscuious it is a choice and evidence of a lack of self control and morals. There is no promiscuity gene. There is a predisposition for some to have addictive personalities and some are addicted to sex and multiple partners, gay and straight. But most people see it morally superior to be monogamous and have self control. Hence the gay couple wanting to get married and be recognised as monogamous.

I feel your comparrison isn't appropriate I am afraid.

Well DD, I see this from a slightly different perspective now that I am completely out. I have heard COs say this ever since I got unjustly taken off pioneering 5 yrs ago. I was asking too many questions and exposing wrongdoings of COBEs wife who was a pioneer.

IMO I think they say this for the flocks sake and teach the elders in the flock book the complete opposite. The Flock book IMO is just a book to keep the r&f in line, in an abusive way. Not a book that teaches men to be caring and considerate of the sheep.

That's my opinion DD, what do you think? Could I be right?

I think elders are going to be more abusive and start calling disloyal ones apostates.

I am not worried about the elders "spying" on me. I have done nothing wrong and have nothing to hide. In fact I would love them to listen to the JC recording, and my youtube. I would love them to see my perspective of why I am out the WT.

In fact I think they are more worried of me than I am of them, worried of exposing their JC meeting for what it is. A kangaroo court with no holy spirirt guiding it.

I can understand how intimidating they can be though, and no one should be a victim of their intimidating behaviours.

it's not like i wasn't warned.

there was a thread that talked about the push to call on inactive ones.. thanks to the heads up here, i knew the motive for the call.. i don't think i even know that eld.

For me, I love being able to tell them how I feel about their actions and policies. It's cathartic for me and who knows I may trigger an elders need to do some independent research. But for you it might be quite different.

From your post, MissFit, you sound like you don't want to speak to the elders, so just ignore them.

Black people were banned due to racial prejudice and they couldn't change their skin colour. Adopting an alternative sexual lifestyle is a personal choice. Is it a good comparison?-abba

I agree with cofty, although children don't have sex, therefore they cannot have a sexual orientation, many young boys have feminine qualities and their hormone levels would refelct this. Then as they go through puberty their hormone levels change and their sexual preferences develop.

Many teenagers recognise individuals at school who are gay, both male and female. They get teased at school for being gay before they have even processed it themselves.

Sexual lifestyles are not personal choices and gay people should not be discriminated against.

I like Mike and Kim, and I watch their videos.

The point that surprised me the most was that elders actually believe the WT is clearing their debts. I don't understand how elders can fall for this. In reality WT are setting up a new system of everlasting payments.

Why are some JW elders not grasping this? WT don't give money to cong for KHs, they just lend. If a cong cannot make repayments, they dont get the money or KH.

Thanks Mike and Kim for showing us that elders are falling for this scam.

I just phoned her. She only does wedding invites. She gave me a quote, for some invites and I then asked her about religion and as soon as I said word she slammed the phone down on me. She must have had loads of phonecalls already. LOL!

I may go and pay her a visit, she's not far from me.

That's the point jws, she turned down business saying it was for religious reasons, but she compromises in other areas. Why is gayness more reason to stand up for beliefs than birthdays, or fornicating couples who are planning a wedding?
