in the circuit there are literally hundreds of young beautiful jw girls under 30 who are single and anxious to get married.
about two years ago, this one single good looking brother who is about 30 years old and who is an elder married this plain looking sister who is 59 years old.

Well I think guys in general like older women. I am divorced and 41 yrs now and dating in the outside world. It's been fun and good experience. One of these experiences is that I get a lot of interest from guys in their 20's. Personally it's a big turn off for me and I did date one guy that was in his late 20's.
They seem to want stable and mature women instead of girls their age to support, and maintain their looks, hair extensions, nails, fake tan etc.
I also agree with another poster, some of these JWs might have mummy issues.

Getting it out of my system, a VERY long introduction/outpouring..
by adimmedlight inwarning, novel ahead:.
after a few months of lurking on this site, i've decided to take the plunge...i don't really care so much about introducing myself, but somehow there is some relief in the thought of getting my little story out there, just getting it out of my system.
i am the oldest of 5 kids.

Welcome,
Your story is written wonderfully. I feel for you having a father that was inconsistent. We just need stable parents to bring us up. I am not trying to make excuses for him but the WT probably messed him up loads and caused a lot of his problems as an adult.
Don't make the same mistakes he did and stay completely away from the WT now, it's a dangerous cult and can have a mental hold on people that will cause them to be controlled by WT thinking. Think for yourself and keep on learning about the other side to this religion.
Take care

I Went Into "Cult Mode" The Other Day..
by humblepotato inif you recall, i'm just coming to grips with ttatt and atheism after a few years of doubts.
made a long post around here, a while ago, talking about the very subject.
but, anyways.... so the other day, my wife was telling me how she was just exhausted and "peopled out.

Wow real cult mode!!!!!
You really need an exit plan. I sometimes find myself talking to Jehovah....but then I just say to him......
"well you don't care anyway so I am not going to bother "
But I have never thought going to a meeting was good for me whilst I knew TTATT .

Hi Blackwolf and welcome to the board. It's so nice to see a 15 year old who can think for herself.
It's really good that you don't want to be a JW and you have your own dreams. Well done and keep planing.
I am so sorry you suffer with anorexia it's a terrible condition I hope you get some real help and support for it.
Please take good care

What triggered your doubts / awakening?
by Tornintwo ini am sort of new here, used a different username for a while but things got 'difficult' at home so i've since been lurking.... what i would be really interested to know, if you don't mind sharing, is what it was that triggered your doubts and initial research which led to awakening, was it a bad experience, injustice, changed doctrine?
for me, it was seeing mistreatment of young ones in the congregation, they're under so much pressure and as soon as they go even slightly astray they are shunned, either informally (as bad associations which pushes them further into the 'world') or formally - with elders dying to throw the book at them so they even lose their family.... ...then reading about child abuse issues in the press.... ...which led me to silentlambs.
...then jw facts, this forum and coc, wham!

Injustice is what woke me and my kids up. We experienced domestic violence and the elders Df'd me because I exposed it and they wanted to shut me up.
Here is a youtube of my story and the JC meeting with the elders. It's over 30 mins so watch it when you have time.
