  How the college educated/employed "weak" JW's will soon be "used"

  once these laid off bethelites are released from their duties, where will they go?.

  how many will turn to their "spiritually weak" families for a place to live, a meal or financial aid?

  the ones who have been criticized over the years for attending college and getting a good job may soon become an asset to the ones who have been relieved of their duties .

  Good points made by some who say JWs will put it down to Jehovah providing. They keep quiet though if nothing turns up and they end up homeless.

  Large Increase in Trolley Witnessing

  when the org implements its bethelite "genocide" and demotes many members of the "worldwide order of special full-time servants of jehovahs witnesses" into lowly regular pioneers, many more trollies will have to be found in order for such ones to rack up their required monthly hours.. how many are actually going to be shocked by this into waking up?

  I was the opposite to you and your wife, freemind, I was well and truly committed to preaching.

  I loved it. I had multiple students and used to get my time in no problem. Street work was great.

  But sadly it's all nonesense so I can't preach it now.

  i asked if the new britain branch construction had stopped, and i was told that "the governing body instructed us to cease all work on the project.".

  "earthquakes" in one place after another!.

  I just phoned the Britain branch and they told me construction is carring on and to put my form in to volunteer.

  Perhaps as I am a girl they're not telling me what they told you Searcher.

  We know how inconsistent WT is Eh?

  Asking Her Out - Follow Up - Advice?

  soooo..... going to ask that wonderful lady for her phone number tonight as per everyone's advice... first time i will ever be doing that with a non jw girl...erm...woman.

  my dear female friends, what are some genuine questions i can pose to get a conversation rolling and what are some other questions/things i can ask/say to restart a stalled conversation?

  i'm very very shy when talking to new people... especially someone i'm interested in, and have some social anxiety.

  Recent Ads on this site - Simon this needs some fixing

  i am noticing that when some of the ads run, the page keeps scrolling upward towards them.

  this is annoying and should be addressed, as it makes some threads almost impossible to read.

  have same effect on two different oss, (same browser type, firefox).

  Yes that's it Garrett and listen carefully then that will stimulate a further question ask more details. Keep asking questions but to express your interest not in an interrogating manner

  Did anyone learn the truth from having their prayers answered by a knock at the door and then eventually leave the JWs?

  i know of one person who had a difficult life, prayed for help, got the knock at the door, got baptized and eventually left the jws believing they were a cult.. has this happened to any of you?

  and if so, did you still feel your prayers were answered at that time?.

  Garret,

  There needs to be something more specific about her that interest you than you've mentioned. If you think she is fun, what fun things does she do?

  If you think she is intellectual, what topics stimulate her?

  You cannot prepare for a nice flowing conversation really Garret, or it will sound mechanical. You just need to show her you really are interested. Start off by talking about her job and then her hobbies.
