The Heartbreak of having a brainwashed friend

so, recently, i made a reconnection with a long lost jw friend.i first met her when i was about 12 or 13, and she was about 10.. she was a lovely young lady, very poised, very intelligent, a cut above the other girls in the hall.

easy to talk to.

i was in love with her.all the boys in the hall loved her.

I am so sorry this has happened to you. After finding someone new to be happy with, you find she is backing off. A lot of us have woken up and would never go back some however are still indoctrinated. I have been dating a really nice guy for a couple of months, and now I have some insight into your circumstances, I will make sure that I don't ever treat a guy like that.

I hope you start dating again and forget this JW.

i see all these changes we are all shocked by.

if they are all true, and wtbts is hoping to distract the r&f with the ongoing claim 'the end is so near we need to preach'.

how long do you give the excitement to die down among the 20-30's crowd?

Ive done thousands of hours of research into the failed propehcies, etc about the watchtower and even I have doubts. How could I not after having it pounded into my brain for 25 years from those I trust the most that this is the "truth".- lostnotfound

just heard from a reliable source that some at the canadian branch have received their lay-off notices under their doors at bethel.

don't know what the letter looks like.

probably something like, " the tribe has spoken, bring us your torches"

I feel so sorry for these JWs, it is blatantly unfair. Instead of helping people out of homelessness, WT is causing it. I hope they wake up and are able to move on.

I was very scripturally minded when I first awakened and read the Bible lots. You're scriptures resonated with me and helped me see that WT was not in line with the bible.

Essex Newspaper Confirms WT Cutting Back But Not at Chelmsford

link below.. jehovah's witnesses have quashed rumours that the bid to bring their headquarters to chelmsford could collapse due to financial turmoil.. the international bible students' association (ibsa), the organisation which circulates the christian group's literature, said on monday that the construction in temple farm in west hanningfield will continue.. an anonymous source contacted the chronicle on friday claiming a woman in the ibsa's construction department confirmed the project would terminate.. the man, a current jehovah's witness member, said: "something major is going on with the organisation financially.".

the ibsa did however confirm it was pulling the plug on other construction projects worldwide.. stephen morris, ibsa's personnel support manager at its branch relocation department, said: "in order to make best use of contributed funds, some construction projects worldwide will be delayed or cancelled.. "however, we are pleased to confirm that the temple farm project will continue.

I can see you now regret lying. It seems like you need to make a fresh start. If your bf forgives you then you can make a fresh start with him.

I don't feel my telling the truth and being honest has led to consequences. But also I believe not everyone is entitled to know the answers to all the questions they address to you. Some need to build trust.

We all are entitled to an element of privacy.

Try and have some balance and don't deceive people unnecessarily.
