Money can ease poverty. Poverty causes a LOT of sadness.
If the absence of funds can create misery, then yes, money can buy happiness - for the person who is ready to CHOOSE happiness and be content with 'enough'.
i poured over time magazine's sep 8-15 2014 edition article "who we are" and put together this spreadsheet on the results from their poll.
i found the statistics quite fascinating.. most people would say that "money doesn't buy happiness", but this poll seems to me to indicate the exact opposite of that.
it also correlates education levels with higher earning that result in that happiness.

so what have been your experiences with sleep paralysis?
any connection to astral projection?
this has interested me recently as i used to have sleep paralysis quite often years ago.
This used to happen to me a lot, too. I would be having a nightmare, then wake up and turn on the light. But then realize, I was still in the nightmare yet awake and couldn't move. Felt very suffocating. Then, I would awaken with a start, and get up and turn on TV or something to prove I was awake.
One time, I snapped awake, got up and ran to the door of my apartment, opened it, and fell into a black hole ,,,, still in the nightmare. Just thinking about it, makes me feel queasy.
It hasn't happend in years, though. Yay! Stress, makes a lot of sense as the cause.

Edit: First time I saw A Nightmare on Elm Street, part 2 I think, where she is in the basement, running ........ wow, I could relate! Very few films like that will I watch, but totally relate to that series. mwah haha, my dark side ....

Drunk elders, my pioneer friends having sex, oh and did I mention drunk elders? All this was openly known, and condoned if you were part of the 'IN' crowd.
How could such things exist in "THE TRUTH"? So, after my friend hung himself because he was gay and felt he was worthless, I decided that Jehovah was a big old lying hypocrite.
I never entered one of their churches since that September 1976 evening when I made my decision. :)

Sleep paralysis is very common, and happens when coming out of REM mode (if I remember correctly). It is a 'normal' state.
Astral projection is a 'practice' and a new-age type thing that Falun Gong (sp?) and other fringe groups believe is possible - travelling on an astral plane to other physical locations. At least that is my understanding of AP, which is not scientific nor proven.

UC - the Will Smith movie is a remake of the old Heston movie, and yeah! Anthony Zerbe played a good role. He played a similar one on an old ST episode, too

I had a flashback once when I was sleep-paralyzed (which I hate, and used to happen to me often).
I was floating on the ceiling, observing what was being done to me on the bed below. It was very strange because at the time I was in my 30s, and the flashback related to an incident which happened when I was about 7 or 8.
Dunno if that was astral projection?

i heard from a reliable source that a one-day assembly in arizona last weekend had a "cost" to the publishers of $17,000.. predictably, the elders were nice enough to obligate the attendees to a $6,000 donation to wt before the assembly "costs" (i.e.
"rent/extortion) were even met.
$11,000 rent plus $6000 in extra "donations".
Cook a pizza in under 30 seconds? Okay, that is impossible ....... label-licker, don't make things up - it makes the rest of your statement questionable.
columbus day in the us is thanksgiving in canada.
nowpersonally i find this stupid and mornic since the tradion beihind the festival goes back to us ancestry bu so be it... (the us pbserves this a month later).
the tradition is turkey, cranberries (why ?
It's a day off, and that's a good thing. For most of the people I know, that's where "Thanksgiving" begins and ends. Here, it is the last long weekend before winter, and many folks take a trip to enjoy the fall colours. *shrugs*
IMHO, the only significant holiday is Remembrance Day on November 11, which is a reminder of the horrors of war. Not the glory of war, but the story of the many who died in the trenches, suffered from mustard gas, and the other unspeakable horrors that we humans perpetrate on each other, and the planet.
And yeah, a day off, beer and football? Who could ask for more, even if it is only the CFL..... :P
