That album, Hortensia, "Les Mad Dogs, Les Englishmen, and Joe Cocker!" I always loved his version of She Came In Through the Bathroom Window on that.

You're a good mom, and I am sure your parents would be proud. That was very moving, your daughter's JC brought back a lot of memories (but she has parents who really DO love her), and smiling through a bit of mist here. Missing the mom I never had (hey we are never too old for that), and thank you for sharing and being inclusive. xo

No. I am not welcome at joyful celebrations, so I refuse to attend their 30-minute memorial infomercials.

He was one of my favs. Saw him in concert in the 70s, and it was and always will be, one of those 'thrill of a lifetime' evenings. RIP, sir, you will be missed.
You are so beautiful ... to me!

From 1 to 10, how do you rate the value of the Internet in your awakening?
by Hidden-Window inas we all know, the internet is a real game-changer in allowing us to know the truth about the watch tower and its history.
i always had doubts and it was the internet that presented me with the ever-growing number of individuals who were going through a similar struggle.. i give the internet a 9 in my awakening.
what about you?.
-
talesin
Zero. Like JeffT, I left before the internet was in existence. I had my own 'awakening', and went to the library for my research. James Penton's book was the only thing we had back then, along with other 'cult researchers'. A big shout-out to Dr. Penton - thank you, sir!

I look forward to seeing this vid.
I suggest that you shop it to CBC Canada, as they have two spots every week for documentaries, and it would have a good chance of being shown on national TV in Canada. That may not be profitable, but after the film fests, etc., and the buzz dies down,,, a free offering on public broadcasting networks such as the CBC would be AWESOME. :D

Period of time from crack to avalanche
by NeverKnew ini know, people are very different and have different levels of holds to the organization, but i'm insanely curious about how long an exposure to ttatt may marinate before culminating into an action to research further.. from your earliest memory of a planted seed due to an event, challenge from another person, accidental website hit... whatever... (the crack) to the time the ttatt became a reality, (the avalanche), how much time expired?.
i guess we have to remember that everyone here is a success story and that for many, it may be never.. .

It was a spontaneous reaction. My friend suicided because he was gay, I got very sick and when I literally woke up from a long (several months) illness, I realized that I didn't believe it was the "Truth". The lies, the hypocrisy, just hit me in the face - BOOM!
Was I lost without friends or family? yes
Did I know what to do? no
Was I ever going back to the KH? no
And, many, many years later, I am happy to say that I have never set foot in a KH since 1976. It's been a rough road, but to any teen who is reading, and wondering if they can survive the shunning ---- YES YOU CAN. And life is so much better, when you are free from "Jehovah".

That was truly lovely, thank you! There's nothing like a great R&R ballad, and performed with a symphony orchestra WOW,,, really takes me back to the 70s. It's always been a favorite of mine; such a classic!

Why Do Atheists Struggle So Much Against God Who Supposedly Doesn't Exist?
by Perry inan athist made this casual statememt on another thread:.
this would suggest to me that there are at least some atheists that do have consistant beliefs.. .
as an atheist, how could he possibly trust the reason that suggests this to himself?
-

ADCMS - I don't play that silly game.
Let's rephrase, just to appease your sense of outrage " I do, however, see a few atheists here, who act like others may not choose to have their own belief system."
There, now go bug someone else. Like Metatron, who agreed with me.

ADCMS -- hahaha, that's a good one. Well, I'm stuck at home these days, and must read a lot more threads than you.
Metatron - exactly.
