  Dear Syrian Refugees

  welcome to canada from one immigrant to another !.

  calgary is welcoming it's first refugees from syria and iraq so tomorrow i'm going to take all the winter clothing that we have and donate it to a women / children's charity.

  it's not much (well, actually, it's a huge pile ... everything from when we first moved over!

  Oh, I'm long out of the b'Org. I mean literally 'walk'........... : D Had an unfortunate fall on Nov. 1, and I am stuck in my flat, in a w/chair, hoping like hell that my results are good on Friday! I have one bad foot already, now I've shattered the other ankle, and hoping for no surgery, and the ability to walk in the new year.

  So happy for you! It is one of the few things I get to enjoy nowadays,,, seeing folks like yourself get your freedom. It will all be worth the tears and heartbreak, especially as you have each other. Enjoy it!

  lol, I'm not anti-Toronto, I am tired of national news broadcasts saying the East, in reference to Toronto and Quebec ,,,,,,,, as if we don't exist. That's all. We are only the seat of Confederation, but we "Down East" has been co-opted by Ontario and PQ.

  We had an older elder (kind of a local patriarch) who wore them. Also, my grandfather (also an elder) wore the wire-rims. It really wasn't an issue 'down east' (remember, Toronto is not east! always get sick of that, but I digress hahaha). Must have been a regional thing.

  I don't make them, but for the New Year, I want to Walk!

  dubstepped, I usually reflect on the past year, and think about what I will get into in the year to come, too. It's a great time for reflection, during the winter's sleep. Congratulations to you both on your "year of adventure".

  i cut my dish network programming to basic....$20 a month ty very much.

  instead i have $60 streaming device that gives me everything i need.

  Sabin, I did't watch the Vikings. Had to watch Outlander - read the books. *swoons*

  Trevor Noah is da bomb, they couldn't have chosen anyone better. He cracks me up, laughing at his own jokes. :D

  I am starting Luther tonight. It's supposed to be a great series, and of course, Idris Elba. "Nuff said!

  The network shows I catch online, too, as I have no TV. So glad I can still watch The Daily Show! Though we no longer get Jeopardy on Canadian networks - that is my fav show, which sux.
