its been a couple of weeks since a new c.o.

was appointed to the circuit and im starting to hear tidbits of his talks..

one brother told me that in one of his talks he asked the question; .

But no d2d means no monthly reports. How will the elders assess your spirituality without a monthly report?
They will have to find something else to measure, judge and rank you on.

Tithing?

Giving up all material possessions (or if you're rich, just taking the time) so that you or your children can 'serve where the need is greater' TM in dangerous and exotic countries. This could be a 6-week or 6-month plan, or longer, depending on factors such as health, wealth and visa availability.

~ Volunteering on new builds - even if you are a senior, they will use you to do overnight security. I kid you not, in their late 70s, my father did overnight security on a huge build, for weeks.

Spiritually will be measured in dollars and deeds - the preaching work has already shifted to parts of Europe and the East. Africa was the big push in the 60s and 70s.

Think like a 21st Century CEO = bottom line $$ is the only factor. We have a lot of savvy business people here, I'm sure there's many things.

After Death Communications in the JW community

my name is jack and i'm looking for after death communications from the jehovah witness community.

an after death communication (or adc) is when a loved one sends a kind of message to this side of life after their death.

it can be a dream or smell (like perfume or roses that would be attached to them in memory) or a feeling of their presence.

I have no belief in afterlife myself, but my exJW friend did. She had many people ask for her help in 'speaking' with their deceased. She was kind of like some psychic I saw on Oprah once, a woman. She would say - you, in the third row, red sweater. Your father wants you to know that John is with him, and they are okay. Audience member would say - omg, my brother John died last week.

I never believed that stuff, but my friend would do the exact same thing. She *knew* stuff, about the deceased of people she had never met before. I don't bother to try and explain it, it's unimportant to me.

Life, today, the NOW, is what matters. Be kind to people while they are alive - that makes it easier to let go when they die.

I realize you are looking for anecdotes, so shared mine (well, my friend's). Please excuse the "vocal minority" on this forum, who like to make an argument about everything. Jehovah's Witnesses are taught that they must POUND their "Truth" into others' heads, and although the belief system has changed, the behaviours are deep-rooted. Just shrug it off.

I hope this posts (I can only make 5 per day for some unknown reason, and I think I have one or two left)...

Many people don't remember their dreams ... I don't remember a lot of mine, just feel the effects when I awake.

But my old therapist(s) would say "That's completely normal."

. It may interest you to know that these type of dreams are significant to people who are very deep thinkers & tend to feel the pain of others suffering.

Yes, that is very interesting. Thank you, and I need to research - I haven't done any on dreams for a long time.

EDIT: sheesh, the guts of my post disappeared again ,,, will try to recall what I said ......

I've had night terrors since I was a small child, along with sleepwalking. In some of my dreams, I'm being chased down, or someone is breaking into my home. Others are fragments of memory, which used to wake me up yelling at times, and be shaken all day. Nothing seems to help me get rid of my bad dreams, and haha, one time I woke up with a smashed toe and didn't remember stubbing my foot (yes, in my apartment, I was sleepwalking and hard to believe, did not wake up, but split my toe like a ripe tomato!).

**Okay that was the essence of my comment ...must be demunz in the forum! lol!

Now, I take a medication that suppresses my dreams, and allows me to rest, but I would sure love to sleep au naturel, in a manner of speaking. : P

To answer the OP's questions: No, No, and a big YES!

I did a little 'research' and found an interesting article "This Is Our Place of Worship", and the section "Providing and Financing Kingdom Halls TM", seems to confirm what you are saying. Here's just a smidgeon.

That means that during the last 15 years, on average, five new Kingdom Halls have been provided every day of the year.

Many brothers and sisters have experienced great joy in being able to participate in Kingdom Hall construction. Whether we can help out on a building site or not, all of us can have the privilege of supporting such projects through our donations.

in a perfect world, one would hope that no woman would need to consider an abortion.

there is unfortunately, no perfect world and there does not seem there will ever be a perfect world.

so consider .... 1. a child rape case in paraguay.. ... but the plot unfolding in paraguay is so dark and twisted that it is currently tearing the south american country apart.it began on april 21 when a mother brought her 10-year-old daughter to a public hospital.

Marmot - let's fuggetabout "Greenpeace'. It's become a behemoth, and anyone who is really 'into' activism knows that about 90% of their dollars goes into advertising. They sold out a long time ago.

Most activists WILL tell you to try and observe the "100-mile diet" and eat meat that is raised on a small, local farm vs a factory farm. That, as well as having solar cells for energy.

Also, I think it's about 70% of the water that's used by the manufacturing process - so the recommendation is to avoid conspicuous consumerism - such as - use things until they wear out. Do you really NEED a new (fill in the blank), or are you buying the new one because if 'feels good'?

Yes, the mainstream focuses on fossil fuels, but there is much more to it.

An apt comparison, and quite chilling.

As far as the name of the child - I do not speak those names, just as I do not speak the name of John Lennon's murderer, nor any other despicable person who seeks notoriety. Why give him what he WANTS? (that's just my opinion, and meant as food for thought)
