We discovered a Dyson Sphere! . . . maybe
by Coded Logic inokay, okay, okay - i know we're not supposed to jump to conclusions.
but the odds this is a "naturally occurring event" are pretty low.
and it's just the sort of megastructure we would expect an advanced alien civilization (type 2) to build.

To the OP: A couple of years ago, I watched the Kaku video and others in your second link - it's amazing to imagine what we 'don't know' .... makes me think of Jules Vernes and others with great imaginations about scientific possibilities (no matter how improbable they may have seemed at the time).. -

No 'Tight Pants' policy is now official - classed as 'disturbing'
by wizzstick inin short:- tight pants is no longer just a am3 hang up (or is that a hang up on the well hung?
)- brothers who have effeminate body language are flagged up- as are sisters with 'masculine' hair styles or dress- such dress is 'disturbing to the congregation'- the above must heed the (repeated) counsel from the elders...or they get stripped of the right to share on the ministry- however...this will not be revealed (announced) to the congregation.
wow.

Over on JW Survey, there's a great leak regarding tight pants from a new CO outline for their meeting with the elders during congregation visits. This is once the MS have left the meeting.
Is this an actual, verifiable document?

How to deal with anxiety?
by BlackWolf inlately my mental health has been rapidly declining.

Hi, Black Wolf!
One thing that a therapist suggested was - whatever you find you CAN eat. With me, it was food in general, not calorie-counting or a desire to be thin -- but I think, in my depression and hopelessness, I was starving myself. One thing I could always eat, was a handful of potato chips. If nothing else, it gave my stomach something - instead of just acid. And the salt was helpful, to settle the tummy, and sometimes I could choke down other food.Do the best you can, and if there is a food you can eat, ANYTHING is better than nothing. I wish I could help you out, hmmm.
So you are home-schooled? No wonder you are having problems with food ,,, it's the only 'control' you have in your life! Try to eat what you can, and remember, that your parents will not control your life forever. There's a lot of living to be done once you are old enough to determine your own life. Do what you can to say healthy, so that when you make your escape, you will be strong!
You can do this, you CAN.

The Old Age
by Caupon inso now that most of us have come to a semi truthful understanding that the witnesses are wrong about evolutionist, there is a certain question that i have always had.
now if you were to ask any jw, they'd recite a complete fallacy from scientist regarding this.

I love math, too. And yes, that's why it begins as a seemingly rigid science, and then it becomes even more, science and art, as you advance past the equations and enter a new place of reasoning. One which requires imagination, and the ability to conceptualize in 3-D, not just the formulae on paper.
The gifted mathematician, like many scientists, can often be described as having her/his head in the clouds

Kara- An ethical dilemma that's closer than you may be thinking

For the super rich and powerful (and those who feed off their decadence), world hunger is not a dilemma, nor is human trafficking, breeding big cats for the pleasure of human hunters, torture, and any number of things..........
So, no, it won't be a dilemma. Those who can afford these, will have them - just as they now have human sex slaves. Let's not be naive. *shrugs*

Are you thinking of the World Powers and the Revelation book as interpreted by (mostly) the JWS and (some) other fundamentalist religions?
It kinda makes sense, because these 'newer' religions were mostly formed in the USA, the mythological explanations seem to revolve around their own ancestors and religions, so the Mongols just didn't figure in. It's too far away, too 'foreign' to American culture, to have been incorporated into the Western system of myth as one of the 'world powers'. The Mongols, who are they? Oh, wasn't he some big warrior dude? Or was that Star Trek? KHA-A-A-NNNN!:))

I agree with Kant in his essay What is Enlightenment? - all men [and women; it's the 21st C. now] deserve enlightenment. The lack thereof, can be a type of enslavement, especially in religion (as Kant points out). Not all people will choose to learn, though. Who am I to say which person 'deserves' to hear TTATT?
As I have the ability to read neither hearts nor minds, I also have no ability to determine who would 'benefit' from knowing of TTATT. That is for each person to choose.

Science has proven to be very forthright about correcting mistakes in this field. It's quite easy to get a grasp of the fundamentals of carbon dating. Also, you may find that reading about the different strata of rocks, and how scientists arrive at the age of mountain ranges and such, is indeed. interesting, and just makes lot of sense to the average person whose willing to take a bit of time and study up on the subject.
As a general comment, I get the point about 'pure' science. I instantly thought of this;`
Tesla = profound curiosity, genius and the passion to *discover* and *share* ('pure' science)
Edison = brilliant, perhaps, but corrupted by self-interest ('not-so-pure' science)
..............
Sheesh, where would we be without people who questioned the current norm? And as for Mathematics being 'cut and dried' and 'easily taught' ........ ahaha, you have just betrayed a profound ignorance of the ART of higher mathematics.
