  Male or Female

  i have been reading over the forum today and something hit me.

  because i don't look up everyone's histories, there are people i assumed were either male or female--partly based on their avatar and partly based on the type of comments they make.

  well guess what folks--i was shocked to find out i was wrong about a few people.. does anyone else out there decide that certain posters are male or female, and then find out they're wrong?

  this is my story so far, but i am fairly sure it is going to end up a bit differently than most i have read on your site.

  the brothers couldn't help my husband, he didn't want help.

  Governing body GUILTY of wife beatings

  an ex-dub friend of mine and i were discussing the various ways in which the wts ( governing body) has in so many ways, been guilty of many ruined lives.

  i mentioned to him something i had forgotten about......that being the policy the witnesses had in the past with regards to how a witness mate handled physical abuse by their non-believing mate who physically beat them over their religion.. i related to him how my wife and i used to take a sister with an abusive mate back and forth to meetings for quite some time.

  many times she had black and blue marks on her face as well as other areas.

  They have NEVER apologised for ALL the heartache, lost lives, and ruined lives, that were due to their erronious teachings.

  Not only do they not apologize, they dont even admit the erroneous teachings at all. They act like they never said it at all. Bastards is right!

  LA Times Story on Religious Fanatics Who Kick Out Teens

  the story on the front page of the la times today talkes about 400 teenage boys who have fled or been driven out of a reformed lds wing in utah.

  several quotes in the story will remind you of the wt's own twisted practices.

  I saw a story about this very group, on one of the 48 hour type shows. It showed a woman, who escaped and is helping young teenage girls escape. The girls are married off to grown men, at a very young age (14ish), and they have no choice their parents make them do it. When the newsperson, (John Quinones or someone) went to the Colorado City Arizona to investigate, the Sheriff had a confrontation with him, he is also the same religion, and very protective of the cult leader. It is all so sick.

  Also, I remember during my dub years, pretty much every single teen age boy was kicked out of their home, including my two brothers who were 15 and 16 at the time. Had something to do with some scripture that said something about keeping those in your own home under subjection, cant remember now. My brothers were also, just doing normal teenage boy things, but that was the trend, all the elders were doing it. Now I look back and realize they were only babies, and it makes me sad for them.

  They dont even realize how this put them off on the wrong foot, for life.

  I look at my little son, and think to myself, I could never do something so cruel to him.
