The JW new world system scum

we now know that the new system of things as imagined by the jws is a myth, a poison that's meant to seduce the unaware into the org so that they can then be controlled, abused, and exploited.

but during the time when you were taken in by the myth what sort of things were you imagining about this delightful new world and your participation in it?

or perhaps deep down you never really believed it and ignored it.

I was a kid, and had the idea forced upon me. And, well, I never could really buy into it, even when I was small, I just didnt get it. What we we supposed to do for eternity, eat fruit, and play with lions and tigers? Then, as an adult, it even became harder to imagine. Just never could put myself there.

Yes, I remember this. That particular WT article said that they were now going to start counting the unborn fetuses of pregnant sisters. Of course, the sisters are supposed to provide proof of how many fetuses are growing inside of them - for accuracy. This will require a visit to the OB-GYN for an ultrasound. The reasoning behind this was that if the sister carrying the baby is going out in service, she is essentially "training" the unborn child "from before infancy." If she studies any of the recently released books, she can count those as "bible studies

I believe the article even went on to say, that all sisters between the ages of 12 and 52 were to have bi-annual pelvic sonograms so that there unfertilized eggs could also be counted, as future potential publishers.

True to form, the WTS always has to put others down. Was that statement even necessary? Maybe they felt it exalted them in some way. I think any outsider would wonder why they feel the need to compare themselves, and that it was just a downright stupid statement.

This is all bogus data anyway, so many people cheat on their time reports, like I did. I mean I outright lied, by 10 hours per month, just to keep the elders off my case.

What frauds they are.

how about sadness, sorrow, sympathy, understanding, even yearning!.

it can be quite confusing at times.

I feel very sorry for them, especially the small kids. At least the sisters can wear a skirt, and nowadays, no nylons (back in my day we had to wear nylons). But the poor little boys, a long sleeve shirt and tie, and even some in suits, when it's over 100 degrees, thats just inhumane. Then I remember back on how much I hated it, and was forced to go, and I know some or most of these kids are going through the same thing. Poor babies.

Not having to celebrate holidays was actually pretty cool

now that i'm a non jw i'm expected to celebrate holidays by my gf, family etc.

there's way too many and it gets to be a pain.

valentines,easter,memorial day mothers day,fathers day, 4th of july, thanksgiving, halloween, christmas(bleh!

I still say trick or treating as one of Jehovah's Witnesses would be great...

One halloween, my very witness brother stopped by (dont think he even knew it was Halloween). I had all the candy out, and the kids were all dressed up, then I asked him "hey, what are you going as a Jehovah's Witness". The look on his face was priceless, and yes if looks could kill I'd be dead and gone.
