as i was reading the thread about not at homes i wondered if anyone else a slacker pioneer?.
there was a bunch of us in our hall that went out on a wednesday.
we usually managed about 45mins before needing a coffee which somehow extended through lunchtime, maybe interupted by a return visit that hopefully wasn't home.
I never was a poineer, but did auxillary pioneer once or twice. But even just in regular service,
I cheated, cheated, cheated! Did all the things described above, and outright lied about hours I spent in field service, to keep the brothers off my case.
Accoring to my very active elder father, who I just admitted this to, "oh, everybody does that!"
absolutely!

or pioneer attends an "unequaled" wedding----they will be removed from their exemplary positions because they are "disloyal to jehovah god"........what do you think about this one?

I can tell you my own experince, when I had my wedding 10 years ago. My dad refused to walk me down the aisle due to the whole "unevenly yoked" bull. I still get upset when I think about it. There were many discussions among my witness family about whether they could or could not attend, what would or would not bother their conscience, what they could and could not do. (the toast, etc...) It gave me such a migraine stress headache to hear all their ridiculous discussions, things they were constantly having to check with the brothers on.
our daughter's getting married!
and her (pioneer) grandmother, her best jw friend, my brother and his jw family, and one longtime elder friend and his wife will be there.
tonight is the rehearsal dinner.
Congratulations, I am glad some of the JW family will be there with you and your daughter on her special day.

the court appointed attorney will be recommending to the judge the following at the hearing tomorrow morning.
unsupervised visits with mom at the children?s request only, away from her home and away from stepfather.
the results are what I wanted for the kids, and the kids are happy with the outcome as well

i took elizabeth to her therapist this morning.
i was able to talk to the therapist and bring her up to speed on nancy and to talk about my concerns.
she said that she is completely aware of the effect the religion is having on the kids.

i hate to start a new topic when i'm about to have to go back to work, but i want to know why jws don't celebrate new year's?
the first year i dated my dub boyfriend he took me to a (worldly) friend's house for an all out new year's bash.
we had a great time.
we were not allowed to celebrate new years as Jehovahs witnesses.
i enjoy armagnac, lately.
cognac is quite nice around the fall and winter, too.

wowwwwww, that would be soooo encouraging to have 5 days specialy having hurricanes, your soo gonna love the convention,and the drama is amazing.. i brought a taperecorder and taped most of the talks.. its like your in paradise the whole time, im sooooo sure your gonna have a great time!!
