They are still lying, even though they revised the FAQ.
by DATA-DOG indo jehovahs witnesses feel that they are the only people who will be saved?.
many millions who lived in centuries past and who werent jehovahs witnesses will have an opportunity for salvation.
the bible explains that in gods promised new world, there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.

typical bait switch technique of the jw.org. If someone read this and started studying, by the time they are finished, they will not recall that sentence because they will believe that the truth is all clear. It literally takes not much time for the mind control to kick in. -

Pick your belief system
by Giordano ini think we've all noticed a ton of newbe's these past months.
one part of escaping or thinking about escaping the jw's is coming to terms with what you believe now and/or what direction you are leaning towards.. here is a site that has a quick quiz that may be of some worth or just for fun.
i took it when i first signed on here and the results surprised me because it was pretty accurate.. you don't have to sign up for anything and when you finish you will get a percentage answer on 20 major belief systems.

"Gentile Times"
by zeb ini am reading again the work.."the gentile times reconsidered" by carl olof jonsson.
it is very heavy going but he uses world sources as used by wt to totally refute the 607 thing.
he sent his studies on this to bethel ny and waited on jehovah.

I would like to read it but it costs over a hundred bucks on ebay and amazon. It is mind-blowing how ludicrous those lies about 607 b c were to witnesses. What is even more crazy is that they still believe it and it has become the basis for almost everything they teach and use to teach (doomsday dates). Anyone know a moocher? -

QUESTIONING THE OBVIOUS or deconstructing Jehovah's Witnesses
by TerryWalstrom inwhat is the most obvious thing you can think of about jehovah's witnesses from the standpoint of worldwide recognition?.
wouldn't it be 2 primary things: the name jehovah and secondly, the public testimony or witnessing?.
let's begin deconstructing those two things.. first, why would christians refer to themselves by any other name than christian?.

"If God wanted them to call themselves "Jehovah's Witnesses," why does the NWT rendering of Acts 11:26 say that it was by divine providence that they were called "Christians"?"
That is why jehovah's witnesses are a cult in the first place. The fact that they disunited themselves from the rest of Christianity by transmuting their denomination to something resembling an anarchist proves they are not the true religion of God and not Christians. That "New Bible Study Method" (aka studying Zion's Watchtower Pubs) is plenarily unscriptural and was made to detract people from the bible but to lead them to untruth from Russell.
Genuinely appreciate this dissecting of where these particular credences emanated from and how they commenced. Clever utilization of erudition and enlightenment.

JWs and the making of many books
by Magnum inecc 12:12 - "to the making of many books there is no end, and much devotion [to them] is wearisome to the flesh.".
i just never could keep up with all the jw reading material.
as a zealous jw, it was my desire to read every word published by the org, but i just couldn't do it.

The truth is that they had to dumb down the material to make more publications. In JWorg world, quantity is over quality for sure. With the delusion being that all the publications are in fact of a spiritually refreshing, high quality, divine, and top-notch literacy work is what keep folks so involved.
Let's not forget that notion they instill that we must perpetuate to be reminded constantly about what we require to do in God's organization. That makes it all the more worth it to the ranks to read the illimitable bunch of literature. With that brainwashed feel that they require to read and perpetually be reminded is what keeps them reading. Luckily for you, you were able to see through the repetition, schemes, and control. It certainly is not a breeze to do.

So very true. I recollect being in and always having the "responsibility" (guilt) of reading both the Watchtower and awake. When I had some extra time on my hands, never ever could I push myself to read the full magazines despite believing in it. But being young, you could never do that anyway. That is why so many older adults were and are in it so long in spite of the ever transmuting JWorg doctrine. There is always something to read to gain "spiritual alimentation". It never ends as a witness. -

Governing Body Member Stephan Lett Lies On JW.TV
by Finkelstein ini thought it would be important to clearly point in the recent talk by governing body member stephan lett, that he did in fact deliberately lie concerning what he described as lies and false information by apostates, concerning the organization being permissive toward people in the organization who had been involved in pedophilia.
the truth of the matter is thats exactly what the organization has been doing and perhaps for a long time.
the recent candace conti law suit where she was awarded 28 million dollars was levied against the wts for its irresponsible behavior by the elders who gave no notification of the accused jonathan kendrick that he had been charged with pedophilia and spent months in jail for his actions .

Yep. I'd for sure be compounded to lie once in while. But if deceit has made me and my corporation rich and prosperous in the first place, then being dishonest is marginally my job to keep the chi-ching coming in. Boy is that sick. Not availing anyone but yourself and bamboozling a multitude. -

Finkelstein, wow. That makes me sort of a compulsive liar. And that makes the governing body (Lett) narcissists because they don't deserve any of their superficial stature, one bit. Every proclamation of accolade toward the governing body through the bible is erroneous and repugnant in its motive. -

Are we going to see a mass awakening?
by kairos inthe internet is the archive for civilization.. watchtower cannot hide it's history.. are we seeing the beginning of a mass exodus out of her?.

ha, spiritual cooties. Don't think the awakening will be massive but more people will wake up as the time goes. Remember that thread where only one person got baptized with 1500 in attendance? So there is definitely a certain enlivening going on. But it will never be huge all at once because you still have the cult stigma and guilt factor associated with the brothers and sisters.
