Terry
I recently watched THE RING and found it creepy. I watched it all by myself in the house late at night. Nothing. Just a mild appreciation for the skill of the filmmakers.
Andi
As I hit the end of the hallway, he walks through the living room in the dark and we almost run into each other. I screamed bloody murder I was so scared!!! I almost wet my pants. My screaming of course scared Neil because he didn't know I was coming down the hallway, so we're both screaming. LOL. Anyway, since then, I've talked Neil into getting a security system for the house.
Terry you do realize you have become that guy that everyone hates who sits in the movie theater and says in a University Professor voice "That is totally irrational behavior'' '' That's not correct, the Alpha Quadrant is too large to traverse in a two hour movie"
Andi I laughed thinking of you and Neil scaring each other...you do realize a security system will not prevent you from scaring each other in the hallway.

Minimus this is too easy.
1) They won't eat Pizza that has pepperoni on it (This is mainly due to the Mosaic prohibition on Pizza)
2) They won't eat a weiner that has blood in it and they also won't squeeze the blood out of their own weiner...(Once again due to the prohibition on blood and also touching your weiner)
3) They are United in true worship..except for when they're wrong then they're United in false worship but it's not really false because it was truth at the time although it was not really truth it was a misunderstanding although they do not rely on their own understanding they rely on God's but he did not give them the wrong understanding they had the right understanding as they knew it which was infact wrong but right...what was I talking about.

Lots of things are going wrong...
by Sirona ini'm going through a time when so many things seem to be going wrong.. doesn't it seem as though it never rains, it pours?.
i know the skeptics will roll their eyes at this suggestion: i think that sometimes things happen this way for a reason, and that when we successfully get through it, we are so much stronger.. what do you think about the idea that trials sometimes come along for a reason?.

Dear Sirona
Just for you and also
You have been one of the biggest reasons my skeptic side has been kept at bay. Your openness and honesty about the different paths you have taken and were opened to you after you decided to leave the borg. All the things you have experienced..especially the unexplained makes me wonder and hope that there really is something else. Guess what..sometimes without that little bit of hope the prospect of going on isn't that great. Some of the history you have shared reveals a woman who has endured more at your tender young age than what many endure in a lifetime...or two for you non skeptics. To see you accomplish what you have gives me and others hope that somehow we can muddle through the messed up times in our lives as well. This past spring and early summer you had so many wonderful things happening for you...pull out those photo albums...those days will come again.
There is a song which gets airtime on the radio here in Canada right now, Two shots of happy, One shot of Sad.....sometimes it seems more like Two shots of Sad and one shot of Happy.
To answer your original question...sometimes problem after problem arises because of the decisions we make, we try our best and that's all we can do. I don't believe there is a cosmic conspiracy to even out the good with the bad or a force trying to make us stronger by giving us adversity..unless you consider fast food joints a conspiracy united in raising cholesterol...may they rot in sheol (disclaimer..sheol is term used to describe the common grave of all mankind).
Things could be alot worse Sirona, as you look through those photo albums you'll see Valis...imagine being born with a mug like that.
Hope your feeling alittle better in a day or two.

The damn Egyptians liked way older women
by gumby inbuncha damn dirty old men i tell ya!.
that's right.....pharaoh liked 70 year old women and so did his buddies ( princes).
gen. chap.12 tells us when abraham entered egypt, the egyptians beheld the woman( sarah ), was "very fair".

Maybe the confusion is because the thread was mainly about the absurdity of a Pharoah who could have numerous or any women he desired but instead wanted a 75 year old who lived a harsh existence and would most likely show it. He sees Abraham and Sarah playing hopscotch outside and decides he must have her to which Abraham who fearlessly defended his dumb ass nephew Lot lets the Pharoah have her. Then when she is somewhere in her ninties the next Pharoah decides she too is a hottie and figures what was good enough for my daddy is good enough for me and once again both Sarah and Abraham go fot it.
In general when I see a young woman with a very old man I'm skeptical of both of them.
Doh..damn you XQTP and your logical reasoning.
