Ray Cowling, we used to nick name him scowling cowling, I did like his poems though some were a bit corny. How about little John Wilson, heard he passed away coupla years ago. Dave Madzay seemed a cool guy, heard he got DF'd, thats a looong time ago. Winston aPyne was a cong overseer when I was a kid. I think there were a couple of Bromwich boys I believe Ted was the fire and brimstone c o man. Manwering, Mouritz Maclean were co's as I recall.Don Maclean was a dead keen ham radio fan. Max Lloyd also did the rounds before heading to Bethel.

A question about shunning-your input appreciated
by crazycate ini have been inactive for 5 years now.
lately i am being treated more and more as if i were disfellowshipped, which i am not.
do any of you know of anything, in writing, that is encouraging members to curtail any and all association with former members who are no longer active?.

I do know that if your'e inactive and express opinions that don't toe the "company" view you will be
treated as a DF person. I was recently warned about my associating with a couple of old friends
due to their 'poisonous thinking' although they're not DF. But I'm finding that it's not poisonous !!!!! the beers are cold and the conversations
are stimulating. However the "organised" book 2005 kind of hints that on page 155. After talking about rendering spiritual assistance
to inactive ones it states "However if the person who disassociates himself by repudiating the faith and deliberately
abandoning Jehovah's worship is viewed in the same way as one who is disfellowshipped. A brief announcement
is made to inform the congregation, stating: "(Name of person) is no longer one of Jehovah's Witnesses" "

Look, Up in the Air...It's a Bird, it's a Plane...No, It's a JW!!
by Cold Steel infor you ex-jehovahs witnesses...and even you current ones...have you ever contemplated your future existence in paradise earth, should you be fortunate enough to end up there?
during those raucous, fun moments at the kingdom hall when you were contemplating eternity and having the times of your lives...did you ever speculate about what life would be like?
for example, would you have to walk everywhere or would you be able to fly around like superman?

In the September 15 2013 Study issue on page 21 paragraph 18 there is a asterisk footnote reference to a
February 1 1994 Watchtower page 9 paragraph 7.
There it takes a quote from Manfred Barthel's book "The Jesuits - History & Legend of the Society of Jesus"
The Watchtower quotes thus ,, "The committee informed van der Steen that they were prepared to waive the height requirement, but only with the proviso that he would learn to recite the entire bible by heart. The story would hardly be worth telling if van der Steen had not complied with this rather presumptuous request"
I am trying to ascertain if this is in fact supported by any proof from Manfred Barthel or if in fact it is simply anecdotal.
The best i can find is that Manfred Barthel was a Scriptwriter, Film Producer, Journalist and Co-Producer of Von Daniken's "Chariots Of The Gods"
Can anyone here enlighten me. ( I have used Lord google and it referred to Wiki's article on van der Steen but no reference to his height or
Bible recitation from memory).

nothing of significance,,, the subject matter has reached its conclusion.
i do however need to correct an error i made in an earlier post when i stated that
the lowest denomination note (with a yellow tinge) in ewe speaking countries is 500 francs.
that is incorrect it is in fact 1000 francs since 2004 (and im not sure what tinge it is)
didnt want to go down in history as a bull s..t artist

Vine doesn't reference anyone else as far as i could see in his note. The issue is why quote "christendom"
btw a mate just rang asking about the reference in para 18 of the same article to wt feb 1 1994 page 9 para7
about a short jesuit who memorised the bible quoted from a book by Manfred Barthel, my friend claims he co produced chariots of the gods
so why would the wt quote him. some of you learned guys might know more. i'm gonna have a look when i get home

Now I understand.
Somehow I will teach my self to put up the link so all can see the real figure for average weekly wage in oz
not the government and employers dream of the poverty australians should be living in. as earlier stated
i was incorrect, my figures are in fact too low The full time average weekly wage according to the government
bureau of statistics is
$1422.70 as at march 2013. I was using a figure of $1000.00 so i was about 42.27% too low
although this is getting a little boring as the intent was to show the subliminal suggestion in the wt that others noted as well
and you succeeded in getting us both off the topic trying to prove each other wrong
i appreciate that the readers need correct references this forum and i will continue to present that
