JW 2014 YouTube Documentary
by kneehighmiah ini had an idea.
i was reading about the success of the kony 2012 video and was wondering if anyone would be interested in making a documentary to coincide with the international conventions and the 100 year anniversary of gods kingdom.
the video would be less than 30 minutes long.

I had an idea. I was reading about the success of the Kony 2012 video and was wondering if anyone would be interested in making a documentary to coincide with the international conventions and the 100 year anniversary of Gods kingdom. The video would be less than 30 minutes long. JWs would NOT be the target audience. Instead the target audience would be the general public, most of whom are unaware of what JWs really teach despite 100 years of fruitless door to door evangelizing. The video would focus on the harm the cult causes members, particulary shunning, blood, higher education and child molestation. It would also point out how intolerant the watchtower is of other religions and worldly people (Include a priceless tight pants sound byte from Anthony Morris) Last but not least it would deal with the recent cash grab and highlight the 100 years of false prophecies.
Again the target audience would not be JWs. Instead the video would bring the WT abuses and intolerance to public light. Hopefully local human rights activists, news media, politicians and celebrities would be moved to speak out against the injustices. This would force the organization to publicly comment on the allegations made in the video. Hopefully the negative pressure would trigger reform. If not, then there would still be hope that young open minded, intelligent JWS would be moved to do research and reconsider their beliefs. This is the demographic WT fears losing the most, as they cannot turn the organization over to uneducated unstable fanatics And survive.
I believe we have yet to fully unleash the power of the internet to help wake people up. Kony 2012 has over 99 million views. If we even had a fraction of that success we could change history. What do you guys think? I'm going to begin pitching the idea.

It's Foolish to Believe the Watchtower Will Always Be Around.
by kneehighmiah inseptember 11, 2001. riding the bus to school that tuesday morning we discussed the implications of the monday night football game between the broncos and the dolphins.
by lunchtime our entire world have changed dramatically.
america had passed into a new era that would lead to major changes.

One last but very important thing I forgot to mention is the inability to find a decent mate will kill membership. Young ones are very limited in their choice of mate. This means more will face being disfellowshipped because they need to have sex. Or they will leave so they can develop normal human social skills. Divorce rate amongst my friends is around 50%. JWs aren't being taught how to have happy marriages, and put on a fake persona during the dating process. They will eventually look elsewhere for happiness.

No offense jookbeard because this includes my beloved parents, but all those who think like your dad will soon be dead. The org knows it too. I'm sure they have done demographic studies. My parents are over 60 now. I hope they don't waste the rest of their time being burned out by JW activities and can enjoy retirement.

Lost generation, having kids won't help them. The overwhelming majority of kids in my area have left. The growth rate of the religion has decreased. The peak memorial attendance occurred in 2011. Go check that out. This means they have lost their ability to recruit and add new members even from within. I'm an internet savvy young guy but I never even heard of Jwnet until this year. The marking talk in Salem shows that the effects of the internet on the organization are just now being felt. They have money now, so I doubt they're to worried about decrease I'm membership. As I've said before, when you approach retirement advisors suggest a portfolio that heavily features income producing funds/stock. You don't have time to wait for growth stocks, and you'll need the income to supplement Retirement. This is exactly what the WTS has done. Steady cash flow and 100% control of properties which they can convert to cash as their membership declines. It's an excellent strategy, but it's clearly an endgame appRoach. Less schools, less conventions, less branches, less literature, no more RBC.

jwsurvey.com article that fleshes out the apostate talk
by confusedandalone inhttp://jwsurvey.org/cedars-blog/the-unbaptized-apostate-of-salem-massachusetts.
pretty interesting read.
especially since the one who sparked it is an unbaptized person.

Maybe they should have just answered her question instead. Let's hope this backfires on them.

You can still have them, but you can't call it a congregation picnic. This is because someone could get hurt at the picnic and then sue the organization.

Cults will always be around. But how many cults of the 70s and 80s are still here? The WT will die and a new cult will take it's place. Some current JWs may join a new cult. This will happen soon. LDS are not isolationist. they will survive. Uneducated isolationist cults like the JWs have a short life cycle. WT is overdue. The leadership knows it and they have already cashed out.

If there are no new converts the religion will die slowly. if a scandal were to happen then more people would exit. Because the religion is so rigid and only accepts devoted members, it could not survive a Catholic Church level scandal. The catholic church survived because most Catholics feel free to go to church without devoting their entire life to the religion or being forced to agree or face expulsion. JWS do not have this option. Being a catholic requires minimal sacrifice. being a jw requires enormous sacrifice. Eventually people will realize it's not worth the sacrifice. They will see top many holes in jw theology to devote all their time to the cause. Vacation pioneering, no fun, no college, paintball or nice televisions. Not worth it. JWs must allow casual members or face extinction soon.

September 11, 2001. Riding the bus to school that Tuesday morning we discussed the implications of the Monday night football game between the Broncos and the Dolphins. By lunchtime our entire world have changed dramatically. America had passed into a new era that would lead to major changes. And it didn't happen overnight. It happened between breakfast and lunch.
On that day in 2011 a number of other things would have been considered unrealistic. Gay marriage and a black president. Here we are less than 15 years removed from that day and both things have happened. Things change and they change fast. The internet and the Information Age have accelerated change. It is only a matter of time before the WT is thoroughly exposed. Perhaps it will be in a Wikileaks style release of private files. The only reason the organization is still here, is because the internet wasn't invented during the Ray Franz apostasy scare. already the organization cannot recruit new member effectively in developed countries. The organization leadership knows this. They also know they cannot stop negative information. So they try to poison the well of information as being from satan. These methods will only work for so long.
I believe the organization will no longer exist in its current form in 10 years. while the corporation will still exist, the JW religion as it's knowN today will not.
