All throughout my life Tuesdays were my meeting nights. Well Tuesdays and Thursdays to be more precise, when we had book study But book study was at my house so it wasn't terrible. Anyways as a kid I hated coming home from school, doing homework and then going to the meetings. I didn't mind Sunday morning meetings. But I hated evening meetings as a kid. Then as i got older and got a job, I hated coming home tired and having to change clothes and go to the meeting. Now that I've woken up, it's funny to me that the Watchtower tried so hard to convince us that doing things we hated made us joyful and refreshed. I will probably always hate Tuesdays for the rest of my life. I will probably always think twice when someone asks me to do something on a Tuesday evening. So stupid.

Topics Ive Been Pondering On
by JWINQUESTION inthis is my first post on here so bear with me.
currently i am still an active jw with serious questions about the jw org.

Welcpme. I'm a active JW and still an MS. I guess Holy Spirit hasn't show the brothers that I'm a secret apostate. I would recommend reading jwfacts.com Crisis of a Conscience written by a former member of the "Faithful and Discreet Slave" Ray Franz. Also a good site for current JWs who no longer believe the organization is Beroean Pickets. The person who runs the site was an elder until he resigned. He is still active as a JW but considers himself just a Christian. He thoroughly dismantles JW doctrine and runs a forum that you might feel safe in at this stage.
As for non JWs, I've secretly gone on dates with a few non JW women. "worldly people" are not as scary as the WT makes it seem. Could you believe that 2 of the 3 girls I went on dates with didn't even believe in kissing on the first date? Yet the watchtower, and the media, would have you believe that everyone is hooking up and having wild sex with strangers. One of the girls was religious and didn't even curse! I know witnesses who curse. None of them were virgins, but neither are many JW girls over the age of 21. At least half have been reproved, or had sex before they got baptized. I've had a pioneer sister send me naked pics, but 2 worldly dates tell me they don't send nude pics. You can find other people who hold themselves to the same code of conduct as you do in the world. You don't have to do certain things if you don't want to. The good thing is that no one is forcing you not to act like a compete jerk or moron once you break free mentally of JW control. You will be motivated on your own to be a good person. You may even find yourself caring more about people instead of considering the 999/1000 people who aren't JWS as evil and condemned. (And yes an upcoming WT states that only 1 of every 1000 people on earth has the "truth").

BOE HOT Regular pioneers and Appointment and deletion of regular pioneers
by WatchTower87 in2014-08-25 regular pioneers:to all bodies of elders.
the congregation secretary should arrange for this letter to be retained in the congregation permanent file of policy letters.
he may also wish to update the congregation copy of the index to lettersfor bodies of elders (s-22) at this time as well.

The buck stops completely at the BOE now. The branch has no responsibility for elders ms or pioneers. Protecting their money abd hiding behind the excuse of explosive growth and speeding up the process for approval. Anyone with a brain knows with the internet, they could instantly approve pioneers at the branch if they wanted to. Branch correspondence is lightning fast with the internet and jw.org

Today's WT. article guilt trips my ex again!
by kneehighmiah ini know they're called exes for a reason, but my ex-gf and i had repaired our relationship which had been ruined due to my awakening.
she had stopped talking to me for months after the elders told her no to associate with anyone who disagrees with the "slave.
" of course since she has her own doubts and she still loves me, she eventually began talking to me again.

She had stopped talking to me for months after the elders told her no to associate with anyone who disagrees with the "slave." Of course since she has her own doubts and she still loves me, she eventually began talking to me again. We've been talking regularly since. Today I get a text, "what did you think of today's WT?" I replied, "I don't know." She replies, "I liked it. It was a real eye opener." I replied "how?" So far no response. It's been hours. We haven't talked about anything JW related since we started communicating again. I'm just so angry right now, even though we arent even dating again. WT destroys relationships.

WHY are so many "spiritual" young men in the congo soo insipid?
by hamsterbait inthe last gathering i went to, i was impressed by how submissive and compliant the young men were.
more like sweet little old ladies (not knocking old women here).
they were socially inept, and non-assertive.

Many change their behavior once they realize being submissive and meek is unattractive to women.

Why The Watchtower Must Abolish Judicial Committees
by metatron insome years ago, i upset some crypto-watchtower apologists by stating that the organization must eventually either abolish the co arrangement or radically change it because it creates a direct chain of liability by chain of command and makes them a hierarchy (without catholic level assets or influence to support such a structure).. i would make a similar argument with regard to judicial committees.
i do not contend that the watchtower would get rid of these repellent anachronisms simply because they are unethical in form and use but rather that they represent an increasing liability/obstacle to the organization's survival.. why?.
1) such committees tend to open up all sorts of legal challenges and dangers.
-

They can easily abolish JC if thet want. It's not scriotural. They can also say, "after further review, the ruling on the field has been overturned. Judicial committees are not theocratic. We will be updating to a new "theocratic" method after 60 years in the same manner we just did with elder appointments. touchdown JW.org!"
I see them eventually making DF ing a personal matter, enforced by elders in the same way dress and grooming is enforced by elders. Those seen hanging with weak ones will not get privileges.

Ripple Effect
by Yondaime inon tuesday i was dragged out on service with my mom since shes a permanent pioneer, and once we arrived at the hall i realized there were no brothers, but an abundance of sisters.
i conducted the service meeting with ease, since my dad gave me a formation on how to do it.. then on thursday at my meeting nearly half of the congregation surrounded me and gave me hugs and kisses.
i know about love bombing, its happened to me before, but this was the most insane amount of it ever since i had a demonstration at the district convention.

Half of them will claim they saw it coming all along. They have to believe you're a bad person so that they can justify shunning you. We learned about that in psychology. People can rationalize inhumane treatment of other people by believing the other person deserves it.

An important message from a PRACTICING Jehovah's witness
by Sparks inhi, i am also a practicing jehovah's witness and very proud of it,to say the very-very least..!
i am a middle-aged man with many decades of being a witness of jehovah god in england.. this important letter is personally to you, just as many of the bible's 88 letters are to be taken personal by you the reader.
i am writing to you to urge you to take stock of your life, think what your future holds for you.

Using your logic why do you spend time writing apostates on the internet in direct opposition to the governing body? Is it because you're desperately trying to justify why you're still a member despite the obvious flaws you mentioned. Are you attempting to fight your apostate tendencies as a closet apostate?
