Data dog there is a question box about helping children reach spiritual maturity. It mentions studying the bible teach book with them and the gods love book. First the org needs to work on the adults developing spiritual maturity. The dumbed down magazines treat adults like children and don't allow them to make any of their own decisions. Many JWS are like children and can't make any decision without first consulting the WT about what to do.

How exactly is the Holy Spirit 'directing' the WT?
by keyser soze init seems pretty impotent to me if it is.. let's assume, for the sake of argument, that they are merely 'spirit-directed', as opposed to 'inspired'.
and let's assume that there is even a difference(other than semantics) to begin with.
neither claim is validated by the end result.

I talked to several people who believe the GB is inspired. I of course corrected them. Ignorance is widespread.

Interesting KM. I see they are desperate to stop the exit of all the young ones. Too bad this will still continue. Now they are suggesting to have a more formal bible study with them. It seems they are having great difficulty convincing young people Jehovahs Witnesses have the truth.

Honestly I'm approaching this convention with a sense of fear and dread. Thankfully with the internet and the help of everyone here, I will know what's going to happen before I attend with my family so I can be prepared. I'm afraid we will be asked to do something objectionable and I will have to take a stand and lose my family and friends. However, its good to know that there are many out there who have seen through the fog. I'm preparing myself now to be independent if need be.

I do think the 144,000 being literal will be dropped. Since the gb=FDS it no longer matters. Of course if this happens the friends will lap it up as new light but the awakened will see it as further proof the GB is not spirit directed.

It's well known amongst the friends that MTS usually cranks out the biggest self righteous Pharisees imaginable. Mts does nothing to make its graduates more like Jesus. They often come back feeling better than all the average brothers. not all MTS grads are like this, but many of them are the young ladder climbing, man worshiping type most people dislike. They idolize organizational big shots and look to score points so they can get district level convention parts. They will defend the org to the death and know everything about organizational procedures but little about the bible. If they actually studied the bible like I finally did they would quickly see how wrong some teachings are.

Has a critical mass of exJWs been reached?
by truthseeker init took the better part of 15 years but i believe we have finally arrived at that point where there is now a critical mass of former witnesses.. thousands of exjws come together on forums like this one and discuss findings, ideas and research.
there have been documentaries and even a movie made about life in the jehovah's witnesses.. ex jw websites, online forums, and discussion boards that set the wheels in motion in the early to late 90s have matured into powerful tools of social change within the organization.. the lies and false doctines taught by the watchtower bible & tract society are plainly accessible with just a cursory google search.. active elders leak boe letters, often weeks before they hit the notice board in a kingdom hall.. social media has allowed exjws to connect with those still in as well as those who have left.. the society have no game plan because information is power and they have lost the information war.
all they can do is cry wolf and warn the rank and file not to listen to apostates.. i don't know what future the society will face in the next ten years, but changing world events, social trends, and reactionary change from headquarters based on their own faulty biblical chronology has got them cornered like a raging animal.. it doesn't look good..

Band on the Run, jWs feed off a persecution complex. it makes them think they're doing the right thing. That's why the JW religion is big in intolerant areas of the world. In developed countries nobody even pays attention to jws. The solidarity of the community is eroding in developed lands.
