Maybe we should also start rounding up and harassing white young men since they look like mass shooters. Do you see how ridiculous profiling is? I'm black and have family in Federal law enforcement, Department of Treasury in case you were wondering. Profiling is bad and lazy policework not to mention unconstitutional. I'm a college educated black male who has had to take time off from work to get bogus tickets tossed. I was stopped by police while standing in front of my own home once while talking on the phone. Was told "the neighbors called about a suspicious man they didn't recognize." That's obviously a lie because my family has lived at that home for longer everyone except one old widow. I cooperated, but its very sad this happens. I accidentally had expired plates in a white neighborhood and had 4 units and a canine unit respond. They said my car fit the description of a recently stolen car. More lies. I knew my rights and didn't let them search my car. After I showed my hospital badge they treated me nicely, though they did ask what i was doing in that area late at night. I had my new plates with me in my car and they let me change them and I was not cited. But white people need to put themselves in other peoples shoes before talking about things they will never experience. Not to mention Southern police participated in beating, murdering and covering up crimes against black people and civil rights people in the South. It's also a proven fact that black people recieve harsher sentences. So maybe you can see why many of us don't trust police. While I do have great respect for what the law represents and the function of law enforcement, I don't hold officers as individuals with any special regard or view them to be any more trustworthy than other citizens.

Rebar does react with concrete, but they offer coated rebar to reduce this reaction. Reinforced concrete is much safer than unreinforced concrete in beams undergoing tension. Concrete is extremely atromg under compression but not very strong under tensile loads. Adding reinforcement allows r/c beams to be able to handle these loads. Also unreinforced concrete suffers brittle failures, which means it fails suddenly. Properly Reinforced concrete has an elastic failure which is much safer.
The concrete mixture is likely the main reason roman concrete lasts so long. As the article mentions most concrete today is made of Portland cement, coarse and fine aggregate and water.

I already know physical attractiveness isn't the most important thing. I've dated a very physically attractive girl a few years ago and she is the only girl I've ever dated that I'm not still friends with. Actually she's not really friends with anyone. Also the most physically attractive women I know have been in the worst relationships. I'm not talking about only physical things here. I'm talking about being sexy, dressing well having intelligent conversation goals and taking care of health. Physical attractiveness is still important too. But it's interesting that the people I knew who are still married including my brother had to go to different cities to find decent sisters to marry. Those who stayed local have gotten divorced at a high rate. part of this I believe is because of controlling peoples clothing choices and stopping people from getting educated. Being a pioneer doesn't make up for being frumpy, way overweight, boring and lacking ambition and drive at age 22-25. All girls are not like that obviously. But we always joked that the ones who were most worldly were the best. Now I date worldly girls and dating is way easier. And sisters feel the same way about brothers. I've sister told me she's not attracted to jw guys. Another inactive girl told me most jw guys she dated were full of crap. Then on dates I've talked to one worldly girl who dated a witness previously and her friends had as well. she only had negative things to say. I feel like most JWs would marry worldly people of they could. Being JW does not make you more attractive in any sense.

Doomsday cults have an expiration date. Jws are particularly Resilient. How many doomsday cult do you know that still exist? The watchtower will be forced to become mainstream, which I believe theyre doing now. You cant judge morale by attending the KH. after all, many of on here still attend and don't believe. Most people I know are only in for the social aspects. The doctrines are so dumbed down that most jws don't even know what they believe. This include elders and MS. Foreign language jws are even more clueless.

the difficulty of finding a marriage mate is well known for sisters. But I would say it's hard for brothers also. I was talking to a jw last Night. He visited a different circuit and was lamenting the fact that there were no attractive sisters. as the organization continues to age and more young people leave it gets harder to find attractive people. We used to say that all the in shape, good looking sisters are Disfellowshipped.
Then along comes Anthony morris. In his latest rant, he basically encourages sisters to be as unattractive as possible. He also tells sisters that they should find holding microphones attractive. That's ridiculous. who wants to marry unattractive people? The divorce rate in my area among young ones is very high. In some congregations al the young ones still active around 30 are divorcees. I've had two of my friends get married twice before age 30. me personally, I'm not at all attracted to jw women any longer. Jw women are not attracted to the socially awkward MS. The coolest people tend to be the most "worldly" As more and more JWS become incompatible with one another, I can see it posing huge problems to long term growth.

It was elders like committteechairman who got me to finally accept my doubts about the religion. I know everyone is different but reading angry ex-JW comments kept me in the dark. I was an occasional lurker on forums, but would always reject the facts because of the tone. I know people are hurt, but being angry to me doesn't help. I finally went from lurker to member and poster once I started reading articles by elders and ex bethel it's. I figured that all the "spiritual" men couldn't be wrong. I read posts by committteechairman and I knew he wasn't a fake. I've had access to many of the higher levels of the org so I could see he knew what he was talking about. Also the personnel files from the Grundy jwfacts guy helped we see he was authentic. I've read my own files before. The there was the elder at Beroean pickets who helped as well. He's a guy who dedicated his entire life to the org, but he isn't bitter. So I'm still an MS, but I'm headed out. Thankfully I'm not married, but I had to break up with the only girl I loved very much. it made me sick. But im an optimist and I know everything will be ok. the elders know im slacking, and they've discussed me privately I'm sure. They are no longer giving me public talks or any responsibilities. I only receive bible highlights and service meeting parts. i am sad that one of the persons I studied with in the past is getting baptized today. I was the only JW who went to his wedding. Most of his family didn't even come. I took him and his wife to dinner on their wedding night because nobody else would. The elders somehow found out and counseled me. He wasn't baptized at the time of his wedding so I couldnt get into trouble. It just upset me that they meddle in things that are none of their business. And I was upset by how unkind he was treated by his Jw family. Of course, when he finally joined the school, they all came to see his talk. So they can come see his talk, but not see him get married? I'm rambling, but stuff like that made me mad, even as an active believer.

The governing body is preparing to take a major hit. This recent watchtower shows it. Not the new understandings, but the article on marriage. As time goes on many people are getting more and more frustrated by unfulfilled promises. Especially young ones. The watchtower is now practically begging members to stay, while rebranding the entire thing. It's really sad. Combine that with the fallout of the sex abuse cases, many people will start waking up. The governing body is smart enough to know they can't hide everything. I expect them to continue their transition to a mainstream religion.
