Seeking advise on going to college/university
by joe134cd inhere is the current situation of an acquaintance of mine.. age early 40s.
currently lost her good paying job.. managed to find another reasonably quickly.
although be it with not good money but with the possibility of been able to take an adult apprenticeship which would increase her pay over time.. she is also looking into going to university in the new year.. here is the question i have bearing in mind the above scenario.

I went to bethel and left when I was around 25. Im now 30 and completed my diploma in accounting. I wish I would of done it earlier. I managed to get a student loan to pay for some of it. But it has still cost me around £2,000 and I've had to spend alot of time revising (this is on top of working full time). -

New "most frustratingly addictive game ever" to play - agar.io
by Simon inone of my kids got me hooked on this.
it's incredibly simple but also kind of fun and addictive.. you start as a small cell and need to eat things to grow.
that's pretty much the game.. of course as you get bigger you can eat smaller cells too ... and bigger ones can eat you.. as you get bigger you get slower but you can "eject mass" to shrink and speed you up (w key).

I'm now at college, started going when I was in the org last yr and though in some ways I wish I would of studied accountancy instead of going to bethel at 19, at the end of the day I believe the quote "Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards." -

Hey OP,
It's really good you managed to buy a house at a young age. I've had a big life change (I won't bore you with the details, check out my previous msgs if you interested) and left the org around June time. Obv leaving the org I lost so called friends so I've felt quite lonely. But I've thrown myself into education. And I'm going to start going to the gym soon.
Great quote I heard this week - Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards.

It's called management accounting. To look at an example of a Statement of Profit and Loss click here.
Notice on page 3 of the SP&L it says budget in WT's case target. When they come to the actual they will be able to see whether they were on/above/below target. It's essentially called budgeting

Thanks for the messages guys, well I'm guessing your guys :)
RE: Badger or bore - Personally speaking I'm actually planning on getting a synthetic shaving brush. I want an animal cruelty free one but I understand why people buy badger brushes

It's been a tough year but thank you for you comments on my threads and it's interesting reading the posts of others.
I think even though we are/have learning/learnt TTATT we are in very different circumstances and we have to make the best of the circumstances that we find ourselves in. Anyway I was looking into double edged shaving and wondered whether anyone on this forum having any experiences? :)

Elder's letter requesting details of solicitors, barristers and accountants
by jwfacts inthere was a letter sent to elders in australia on 18th november 2015 asking for details of publishers that are solicitors, barristers and accountants.
what would be their motive for these details?
the rest of the letter outlines 8 specific pieces of information to compile and send to bethel's legal department, and reiterates to collect the information only be "as you understand, without consulting the publisher.

"Will you take every word coming from Brooklyn and the Branch Committee as ex cathedra, even if it should trigger every professional warning in your body and may lead to judges asking why you misled them in presenting evidence?"
- As a student account I know that accountants at any stage in their qualification but especially chatered should adhere to the accounting principes...namely that information received and given should be "Reliable, Verifiable, and Objective"
