This thread brought back memories of people clapping over the number of bags of fruit were sold. The number of yogurts consumed, "by Jehovah's people. " And similar statistics. Baptisms were a zoo with clapping, shrieks, pictures, and someone hyper-ventilating. All of us were being saved into the antitypical city of refuge. The clapping over atendance is when the crowds went wild! Publication announcements were big ones too - the roar of the spiritually hungry in applause to mad prophets of doom.

No Clapping at Wild Statements at DC????!!!!
by hamsterbait ini just read a post that said the audience was not obediently clapping at the convention when the speakers made wild statements (presumably with the rising nazi voice).
did anyone else notice this.. will others look out for it at their dc and tell us?.

Would the WTS torture the "apostates" if they could?

much as the catholic church did in the middle ages when they had the opportunity to treat their dissenters as they wished.
already the way the gb wants apopstates treated is as vicious as can be, manifests a deeply seated maliciousness and animosity and is calculated to hurt as much as possible under the present day circumstances.

Frog's first semester Uni results are in!
by Frog ini realise this is probably quite a dull subject for all my friends here, but this frog can't help but to share her happy moment, cause she's just bursting at the seams with self-congratulatory praise!.
i just logged on to the uni website to get my long awaited semester one results.
i knew i had done well with my essays, pop quizzes etc throughout the semester, but i attributed that to the fact that i had weeks to fine tune my writing and research.

she keeps one there that reclines for when she goes to the hall (usually once a year or so!
ha) anyway she needed it so i had to go get it!

so i think this is talking about why the people in the greek scriptures couldnt do their neighbors wife, or you couldnt kill your neighbor even though the 10 commandments wasnt there.
how many bible scriptures should i use?

some of us choose to leave in spirit only but remain physically for any number of reasons.
i have respect for you because youve been able to push through what i know is a terribly dense cloud to get to the point where you see the org for what it really is.. others choose to fade, which in many ways is harder than leaving out right.

I DA'ed long ago, but I'll go to a hall to DA again. During the WT Q & A, raise my hand and stand up and read a DA letter and leave it with the mic guy. Man, the telephone line to NY should heat up. The special guys, Zone Overseers will be charged with controlling district hysteria. Yeah, 2 waves sounds great - maybe August 1st week, then September 1st week. Maybe every first week of the month after that. Then they can have special talks to coincide with mass "quitting."
IP- maybe a good template letter on this board would assist? Then filling in the blanks will allow many to be sent to Brooklyn, fact and fiction. Keep them busy! Let Bethelites see the exodus. Crooklyn is tumbling down.
