Hi, all...I'm a faithful JW who is sick of lies about us

i was baptized 30 years ago and have been in the faith for over 35 years.. our organization isn't perfect.

but i'm sick to death of seeing stereotypes about us.

we are not mindless automatons.

If you’re getting your jollies over all of this, knock yourself out already. All of us here know the true realities of being a JW. We are aware of what is endorsed and what is demonized in one’s personal life. Read for yourself what the numbers truly reveal for all the sincere JW’s that obey and trust their illustrious leaders unconditionally.

gb, PLEASE, PLEASE UP THE ORGANIZATIONAL HARSHNESS IN 2018

sometimes i have expressed a longing for jw organization to tone down its rhetoric and become, well, nicer and more loving.

i have not been alone in my hope.

some posters have even said that if a wave of kindness washed over jw organization and, say, the shunning doctrine was modified (e.g., left up to the individual's conscience without fear of retribution from elders), they'd go back.

I totally agree with LongHairGal and others who commented on this subject. There is no sign of kindness or tolerance in the near future. The doubling down is on the upswing, the micromanaging and controlling of many aspects of people’s lives is relentless.

Repeatedly JW’s are warned about, remaining loyal…be obedient…listen intently to the “faithful slave” in all that they say.

I posted these comments before, the relentless demonizing of higher education and the constant reminders of shunning your family has gone beyond anyone’s personal comfort zone, families are truly sick of it.

It’s been said here before that the WT leaders presenting themselves monthly for everyone to see has backfired. The mystic is gone; individuals can clearly see their failings, poor speaking skills, and insincerity.

Extreme apathy in many congregations worldwide is the result! So I say to the GB bring on the lunacy, keep begging for money, lay off more of your most loyal followers (Bethelites, Special Pioneers).

It will only serve to be a catalyst for many, many more in their awakening process.

for me, beyond any shadow of a doubt, it's the extreme shunning policy.. at a recent sunday meeting, i listened to a complete brainwashed sister saying how important it was that we stick to the shunning policy even if it is a close relative.. i just thought.

wtf.

there is a big difference between the brainwashed and the awoken class!.

My feeling as some have stated, is that the increasing availability of the Internet at an affordable cost is the greatest demon facing the WT religion and its leaders today. The widespread lies and negative handling of child abuse cases are impossible to hide because of it. In addition, the activism in recent years has risen exponentially. There are innumerable convincing YouTube videos and websites that currently are produced at a much higher caliber and degree of professionalism.

The WT leaders are keenly aware that the “genie is out of the bottle” forever.

here is a short 2-minute video from fox 5 news reviewing the new jw hq in warwick, ny.. the first thing the jw spokesperson says is, “our primary purpose is not to convert, but to give people an opportunity to see what the bible has to say.”.

next the reporter says, “the new world headquarters, which opened last year, is home to about 800 jehovah's witnesses.”.

it seems to me that 800 is an extremely low number since the glory days in brooklyn.

As usual, higher education is always justified and acceptable when it serves the needs of this religion. However, it’s not recommended for the children in your family.

We of the GB here at headquarters often are asked why there are so many changes and adjustments in such a short time. Many of you dear faithful brothers mention that you can barely keep up with it all.” (Pause for a phony smile)

GB member…

“Well brothers we are having a difficult time too, we are running after the celestial chariot as fast as we can. We too must keep up with the adjustments coming from Jehovah and make the sacrifices required in these momentous last days. Rest assured that we on the GB love every one of you dearly… and remember… God loves a cheerful giver.” (Cue thunderous applause)

November 2017 monthly program affected by apostates??

i recently watched a video about a kingdom hall demonstration from a link on this site, and in the comments on youtube somebody said this: .

i understand that the "apostate" activity this week has caused the wt/gb to change the content of the november jwbroadcasting episode and will delay its release until they can figure out how to spin this activity.. .

has anybody heard of this or is there any truth to this?

The speaker mentions that the apostates are challenging the scriptural position of the “two witness” rule as it pertains to establishing a judicial committee and that the media has discussed this as well.

He does not mention at all that the criticism over this “two witness” rule is in regards to child molestation, he conveniently leaves that part out. Courts all over the world have agreed that this type of activity is considered a crime to be reported immediately to the authorities and is usually engaged in secrecy with no witnesses present.

With the escalating number of child abuse cases worldwide and particularly the negative assessment of WT policies on this matter from the Australian Royal Commission, many here were eager to see some reasonableness or reform on this subject from the WT leaders.

Instead, the speaker concludes after reading two scriptures showing the Biblical necessity of “two witnesses” as it applies to taking judicial action by saying “…we will never change our scriptural position on that subject.”
