has anyone seen the news about jessica lynch's book (which isn't even written yet).
on the news last night the father of one of lynch's company of soldiers was on tv stating that since his son was part of her experience that she should share the profits from her book.
his son was killed in that battle in iraq.

in the united states i keep hearing about how nobody sees the witness is going door-to-door and more, or at least not as often as they used to.
i also heard a report from england recently which stated to the same effect.. what do you think?
do you think the internet is the watchtower society's worst nightmare?.
dr you are such a smartass! ;)
talk about a trip down memory lane lately...not that i was here way back when ;)
i just wanted to let you know how much i have enjoyed reading your posts.
i am not and have never been a jw, but my husband and i both have a lot of family who are.
my mother was sucked into it in 1999. i have a question, is it true that jws are forbidden to set foot in any church other than the kingdom hall?
welcome to the board! :)
i believe this is one of those things that is *technically* a matter of individual conscience, although it's heavily "frowned upon"...and we all know what that means :\

lol i love "jehovah's world cup interrupters" :P
i always thought the society frowned upon the use of pinatas, if not discouraging the use of them all together.
apparently the wts has decided to avoid insulting the brothers in mexico.
from the september 22, 2003 awake.
I've seen too many kids get beaned with a baseball bat to the face on america's funniest home videos to fully endorse pinatas myself :P
i know that i don't post often, but i read this board daily.
anyway, i just wanted to pass on the information that my father passed away last week.
he was 81 and in semi-poor health.
alana, i'm so sorry to hear this. wishing you well.

this just in from the globe weekly tabloid of july 29, 2003:.
it's not just stars like gwyneth paltrow, madonna, gillian anderson, liv tyler, and gwen stefani--british guys are many american gals' cup of tea.. "british men are more articulate, mature, and sophisticated," says cary cooper, a university of manchester (england) psychologist, who isn't entirely biased since he was born in hollywood and has citizenship of both the u.s. and the u.k. he adds that british men are better listeners and pay more attention to their women, while u.s. men are too juvenile.. "british men also invest more in a relationship and are more emotional," cooper says.. "american men are good at talking about emotion, but really that's all it is, talk.".
speaking of talk, might those sexy accents have something to do with it?.
oh yeah gavin's so frickin hot

i totally melt for the accent, i have to admit. everything just sounds better with an accent! ;)
have any of you on this forum, ever met up with anyone considered famous?
i've met a great deal of people over the years.
one of my most memorable: dennis leary, drinking a few pints with him as he sang "margaritaville" from the jukebox.
oh i forgot, when i worked at that same Gap, i met Nick Andersen...that was back when he still played for the Kings
