does anyone here have any bizarre or hilarious stories about brothers or sisters you have encountered?
i'm betting there's alot of good stories out there.. i'm from an isolated area on the canadian border where odd people tend to congregate.
i guess neither country wants them.
we had a lady that drank the wine and ate the bread at memorials but it was common knowledge in the congregation that the elders 'knew' she wasnt one of the annointed, just crazy.

aww...thanks
i really liked it (i don't ask a lot in a movie...escapist entertainment's what i'm after).
i thought johnny depp rocked as the rather swishy, funny pirate captain.
orlando bloom is turning into quite the attractive young man...after that last scene, i can see him in musketeer garb.. looking forward to the league of extraordinary gentlemen (love sean connery)...heard it's not great, but like i said, escapist entertainment).
i think johnny depp makes a perfect pirate! and including bits of the ride was a nice touch, too. i loved this movie.

i was wondering if anyone would notice that..yup, its my real name! thanks for the welcome! :)
just curious here <eg>.
i've heard of plenty of teenagers knock-n-running but that's rather on the dull side.
so what's the funniest bit of slapschtick you've seen or heard of witnesess pulling while getting in the time quota?
that santa story is hilarious! the other day my mom told me that when i was about four we were over at a neighbor's house and they had a cat that i always wanted to play with but i hadnt been allowed to touch it before, but that night they decided to let me play with it so i went to find it but came back crying, and when my mom asked what was wrong i yelled "i can't play with that cat, THAT CAT IS A BAAL WORSHIPPER!!' -- apparently the cat had a bell on its neck, and i thought bell=baal...anyways, i bet those neighbors thought we were crazy!
ever have one in your congregation?.
i was at my cousin's wedding this past weekend, and the po from his kingdom hall was present.
this guy is a real piece of work.
i always found the elders to be SO condescending and arrogant. i think it's a prerequitite of becoming an elder, in fact.
i'm speaking not about yourself, but for the houeholder.
i would say for about the last 1.5 yrs before i left i didn't want to give a "good witness".
one because i didn't completly believe in it and two, i didn't want the householder to live the same misery i and most others were living.
i just tried to get through the afternoon as quickly as possible and prayed that i wouldnt knock on one of my schoolmate's doors!!!! i would have been mortified!
