i suppose if anyone comes on here and doesn't follow the party line then they are caustic and abrasive, even if they are just responding to someone else's point.
actually sally i DID read your posts...waste of time that it was...
respond all you like. just realize that the manner in which you present your arguments colors how people will perceive your ideas and yourself. call me crazy, but i DOUBT you'll be named miss congeniality any time soon. to caustic and abrasive, i add that you are incredibly self righteous.

How bizarre would that be to have PRINCE show up at your door with a bookbag and the latest Watchtower/Awake in hand? :P

wow, sally, in only 46 posts you've managed to be more caustic and abrasive than almost anyone that posts here. you truly are a shining example of the love and understanding that pours out from those in jehovah's organization. way to go, sister sally!!
edited to add : worldly girl, you took the words right out of my mouth. you're not very aptly named, are you sal??

What's the point in being Married?
by YoursChelbie indivorce lawyers make thousands of dollars every year handling the breakups of over 50% of all the marriages in this country.
children end up being pulled in both ways during drawn-out legal custody battles.
aside from money issues, another big reason people file for divorce is infidelity.

irongland - sounds like you agree with me, then. the relationship itself becomes less fun and exciting as time goes on, but not as a result of marraige. relationships just end up requiring work and effort. maybe the thought of love becoming something you have to work at does have a killjoy effect on your poor heroic super adventure man. it's not exactly all rainbows and kittens for the woman, either, i suspect. but i don't think that getting married is the cause of this. it's just a natural end.

It is indeed a tragic thing to see once proud creature reduced at the end to a mumbling shufflefooted walking corpse--cold even to the touch.
he couldn't have been too proud and noble in the first place if he could be reduced to a drooling couch potato zombie by a mere slip of paper and a piece of jewelry.

What Is Your Googilism?
by xjw_b12 ini discovered this site today, and had some fun with it typing in the real names, then the aliases of posters here.
e-man posted a similar thread a month or so ago, but this is a lot more fun, as long as your name or phrase is not too "exclusive"
have fun!

I don't see the point. Unless you're capable of being 100% sure of someone, why get married
and even if you are 100% sure of someone, what's the point? i have no desire to get married. it's a formality i don't require. but then i don't plan to have children or any of that, somaybe that colors my opinion a bit. lifetime partnership, if you can make it work, is fine. i think i'll skip the ceremony though. it seems to me that marriage will add nothing to a great relationship that isn't there already, and it will definitely make a bad relationship a heck of a lot tougher to leave.
