  Vows,do they still count?

  some have made vows when they were witnesses.for example:become a spiritual eunuch,refrain from alcoholic beverages,singleness,etc.. do these vows still count with god,if they were given during the deception of the society?

  No Eternal Life---Now What Hope Do You Have?

  one thing all witnesses have had in common is the belief that they would someday inherit everlasting life.

  as more and more express the thought that they really don't have much hope for the future, has anything replaced the hope of eternal life in paradise earth?

  or are we ultimately, hopeless?

  Well,if and that is a big IF, Adam lost everlasting life and Jesus got it back for humanity then God will eventually give everlasting life to mankind.I have been doing a lot of thinking about this.

  If all mankind ,no matter who they are,race etc.lost everlasting life because of Adam, not due to any fault of their own.Then shouldn't it stand to reason that all mankind would get everlasting life because of Jesus,no matter who we are,race,etc.

  If all lost life because of Adam even if they don't believe it,then all get life because of Jesus,even if they don't believe it.It's a done deal because God took it away and God is giving it back.When ever He decides to do it.

  No religion on this earth has to do anything to get everlasting life,,just as no religion on this earth could do anything to overturn what Adam lost.

  So,eternal life was in the hands of these two men,one lost it and one got it back for us.We have nothing to do with it,no control over it.

  As I was saying,its just a thought,and according to introspection it means nothing.

  Minimus, I don't know anymore,one day at a time now for me. Blueblades

  stars like our sun have planets orbiting them.

  At what age do you plan to retire?

  so many people start working young in life, and expect to retire around 58 years old.

  some even retire much before that.

  but so many witnesses never expected to reach that age in this system.

  I gave it all to the Society,(Jehovah's Kingdom Interest )Afterall,I didn't need it,we were never going to grow old enough to have to collect social security or worry about having a pension,or, plan for the Golden Years.

  So now I can't wait until Im broke! You see I'm in debt now and when I get out of debt,I'll be broke and that will be a time to celebrate,owing no one and being broke!

  Then we will start to save so that we can retire when neither one of us has to worry about the bills anymore. When will that be? Ten more years when I'm 70 years young.Until then barring any sudden surprises we will keep on keeping! Blueblades

  just had a thought: after reading the physical repercussions of jcs thread, i was speculating, on the basis that many elders can apparently be bought, that a benevolent, rich, philanthropical type of person could possibly strike a deal with the elders of his local cong.

  : "no jcs in this cong (they're too cruel and nasty), and you'll be well looked after".

  then i thought, no, it wouldn't work, would it?

  At one of our meetings with the C.O. he noted that we had no J.C.M. and no reproofs,no removals, etc. His comment for this was ,"This is good ,it shows that you Elders are working hard doing a fine job in caring for the flock." ??????? Blueblades

  I'm 67 Today

  i was born 67 years ago, it was the coldest feb 10 since that day.

  i heard this on the radio.

  it was about 4 miles from where i live in eden in an upstairs room in my mother's parents home.

  Human life is Birthed,Spirit life is not.Humanlife ends after so many years. Spirit life does not.Human life is short.Spirit life is long.Good and Bad human die from all kinds of things.Good and Bad Spirits live no matter what they do.

  Humans can't see God or the spirit world life activity.Spirits see the activity in both worlds and see God. Will this do for now? Blueblades
