The sisters usually cleaned the toilets at the Kingdom Hall. Our book study was assigned on Saturday after field service at 1pm. Sometimes the Bethelites came out on Saturday and sometimes they didn't. So, the locals had to make do.

My mind won't shut off !
by Maddie init is after 3am and i am sitting here on my own not being able to sleep.
this seems to happen to me quite often lately and my head is like a washing machine - going round and round.
i am going to see the doctor tomorrow and tell him how i am feeling.

Hi Maddie! I found that reading has helped me to get my mind off it's constant meandering. Find a book that interest you and start reading it in bed and before long you will be sleeping. I hope this helps you as it did me.

I believe in "Doubting Thomas" he was rewarded for his dis-belief and doubts. I'm in the doubting Thomas class waiting for my proof and reward for doubting. How 's that for an answer.? And it's all based on whether or not you believe what is written in the Bible as coming from God and so it's ok to doubt. Even to doubt that the Bible is not from God. What a dilemma!

Hi Greendawn! I have been active all my life. Physical activity, walking, on my feet most of my career. I never felt any exhaustion or fainting or pain. I use to shovel snow as a super, and as the snow removal servant at the kingdom hall. When I went for the test in 2003 I was told that I had aortic stenosis. Now two days ago my doctor is sending me for an echocardiogram test to see how narrow the valve is. I'll keep you posted.

No. Some time ago ago as I was sitting at the bar TGIF relaxing, the young guy next to me started talking about the Bible and actually pulled it out of his bag and started quoting some scriptures about Jesus is his savior etc. I let him have his say and did not say anything to discourage him. I went to the restroom and changed my seat when I came back. He started to talk to anyone else who sat next to him. I don't get into it anymore with others who have their beliefs. Those days are over for me. Anyway the bar is not the place to get into religious discussions.
Years ago the PUB was the place to discuss any topic, not today.

Thanks for all your responses. Going for more tests. Could of been born with it. Heart murmur / aortic stenosis. Going to find out just how narrow the valve is and take it from there. I'm 62 and asymtomatic. Doctors don't like to do anything until you have symtoms.

I ask because I hear that wine is good for the heart. I have aortic stenosis, a narrowing of the valve. I am asymtomatic. Could of been born with it.
