An old sister I knew for years, and was very old school jw. Shw would knock normally once or twice, then knock like a kicking mule, if that didn't work, she would go around the house, and bang on every door. I was with her one morning, as we left the front door, she started around the house, I went back to the car. As she banged on the back door, a man yanked the door open, cussed at her, and fired a shotgun into the air, and said, next time it's your gd head!

No Soliciting signage and JW Policy
by Oubliette indoes anyone have a copy of the boe letter directing publishers to not go into apartment complexes and/or condominium complexes with no soliciting signs?
i ask because yesterday and buttheaded jw (that obviously had no idea who i am or my past) was knocking on doors in our condo complex.
he would have had to drive past a sign which clearly states "no solicitation or material distribution.".

If they did buy it, their only reason would be to deny it to anyone else that would want it. In that case, I would not care how I go it, or who I passed it on to!

UTR I like that. "Flocking the Sheep"
When I first opened my eyes and really started seeing what was in front of them all along, I found a pdf of CoC, and downloaded it. It made a big impact on me. Well I don't know what price will be put on the CoC book, or epub, when it comes out. So I am mailing a check for $25 to Deborah. When the new copies of Ray's books come out I will buy a copy of each!!
Over the years, back in the mid to late 70's, I met both Ray and Fred. In my short visit with them, Fred came across, as a very self righteous, self important wind bag! Ray, seamed like a normal guy, easy to chat with. I was just a lowly MS, doing stage security for what was a special meeting.
I remember when CoC, came out, and we were all warned about this super apostate, and his EVIL book CoC. I was over at an eldubs house one night in his office. I saw a copy of CoC on his book shelf. I ask about it. He said that he got it so, he could know the lies written in it, and be ready to refute them. He has a son that is still a friend of mine. His son was in bethell for 6 years, and was there during the witch hunt, that saw Ray leave bethell, and the aftermath. He saw a number of strong hard working brothers, shaken to the point they either left or were ask to leave, for asking to many question. This guy after leaving bethell, came back an MS, but quickly was removed, and soon drifted out of the borg. I just caught up with him in the past few months. He say, his over all time at bethell, killed what faith he had in the borg. I ask him if he knew Ray, he said yes but only in passing. I then ask if he knew that his dad had a copy of CoC, he didn't know, but that his dad had ask a number of question, he had to get from having read that book. But after confirming a few of the stories about life at bethell, his dad stopped asking questions.
Anyway, it will be great to have a real printed copy of Ray's book's. I hope someone will write an update to the book, so as to reflect some of the money grabbing etc, of the borg!!!!

WoW! What a heartwarming story!
I have a long story, but I will cut it way down!
Early 1981 I woke up, to get ready for the CA, my wife wasn't in bed, i thought she was in the kitchen. I got totally ready. Went to the kitchen, she was there, she was just gone! I called lots of people lookung for her, nothing! I never saw ir heard from her, till much later!
After a time I filed for divorce. Her a year later she remarried. I did too. She never went back to the borg!
16 years down the road, my x monster left. Very long story!
My mom died in 98. Late that summer, I was still very messed up, and many nights I wound up at my mom's grave, and cried myself to sleep!
One morning around 6am, a car drove up, and I watched a woman, walk to a new grave, and set down. After a few minutes, I got up and started to leave. As I started to walk past the woman, I could hear her crying, I started to walk past, but instead, I stopped and offered het my box of Kleenex. She turned and started to stand, as I saw her face, the bottled up tears of almist 20 years ran like water. It was my first wife, at the grave of her murdered 3rd husband! We hung to each other speachless for over an hour, with tears flowing!
It was a wonderful reunion! I wished it could have lasted forever! Stupid borg!

It's so funny, the charge I have gone though. In a very short time, I went from still doing everything thing I could to, "Reach Out" and it really hurting me, to know everything I did, was being totally ignored. I nevrr once did anything borg related, to be "somebody" twice I turned down the elder appointment. Both time I spent an hour or more being drilled over it, being told how, I was resisting the "Holly Sprit's" direction in matters. And how even though I didn't feel ready, the bible says, Jehovah will complete your training. The first time I almost ask to be removed as an ms. Anyway, the events that lead to my eyes opening, and learning ttatt, happened within 3 months, and I knew my whold life had been wasted serving a cult! Sundsy I had two eldubs encouraging me to reach out, that they "Need" me, it was so hard not to just open up, and let them have it. But no, I know how to play the game, and pretend, but I have no desire to even be there, much less anything more! -
