A long time pioneer friend of mine took her life 20 years ago. Some thing bad happened to he only child, and she just snapped. But it didn't matter, it might bring reproach on the borg, no funeral talk, or anything for her. In fact everyone was instructed, not to take anything that might tie her to the borg, into the funeral home, or to tell anyone that she was a jw!! A couple of the eldub's in that city work for the TV & Newspaper, it was never carried on either of them!!

here are just a few of them.. “a jack” this is someone who is a slacker or just lazy.. “a pot licker” this term has been used for many years but its connotation is unclear.

I had lot's of long time friends there, that were planing to spend their whole lives there! Most have had the "privilege" of being sent out to server where the need is greater! A couple of these are so deep in they truly think god spoke to the gb, to send them out! Most are very upset and disheartened over it. Two have for sure QUIT, and said it's all a load of crap, and they stayed, for all these years for they had no clue how to make it on their own!!!

I wouldn't say I am a gun nut, but I like my gun's. I have my dad's WWII M1 carbine, + 2 more, one is new and uses 9mm shell's, and is a lot cheaper to shoot, sadly it's clips are standard Beretta clips, and ruin the classic look of the gun. I have two M1 Garanda's, one is WWII issue The other is a Korean war sniper rifle. I also have a WWII 1911 45.
Plus a couple 22's, and a 410 shot gun!

Eldub that get stuck on a word or phrase!

then eldub "somebody" will use it at every meeting, if they can find a way to squeeze it into a part or commit.. most of them get over it after a few meetings.

Branch branch branch!!! I am already so sick of that!!!!!
How about Ob-Stack-cal. One eldub I know hear someone from the "Branch" pronounce it that way, so now every time he says it, that the way he dose it.
Back when the WT's being read on CD's first came out, any time someone pronounced some word differently, surely it must be god's direction, so we all need to adjust our way of saying it!! A brother said that from the platform one Sunday. If he heard a word pronounced a different way, he would get with the WT reader, and make sure he said it right!!! He could not see that it was just the difference in someone speaking, or where they were from, etc....

Over the years I have been around a few, that if a "Big" or "Unusual" word or phrase is used at the assembly or by a CO/DO, to stress a point. Then eldub "Somebody" will use it at every meeting, if they can find a way to Squeeze it into a part or commit.
Most of them get over it after a few meetings. But sometimes, you'll find one that will beat that dead horse, until you Never want to hear or use the word or phrase ever again.
One such phrase was "Side Step". It's been 13 years or so since it was used at an assembly. The point being made was that the sheeple should never try to find a "side step" around some forms of perceived opposition to their beliefs. Because, this would be missing an important opportunity for God to build your faith, if you struggle your way through!
Eclectic. Was another one that he got stuck on. It's use was to do with picking and choosing, thoughts and ideals, one chooses to believe. The same eldub hung onto this one for several months.
He has done this forever!
The eldub I know beat that one for almost a year. He was the "Big Bull" eldub in half the state for years. A couple of years ago after the "70" years old rule came into use, he has been sidelined in a major way, losing pretty much every thing except the eldub title. Now days he shows up as the meeting is starting, and leaves quickly afterwards!Do you guy's know any???
