  elder bags.

  not sure if this was every where or just our area, but you could always tell who was big shit top dog in the hall elders by the size of their bag.

  my dad used to call them elder bags.

  You always could spot the MS's that were really sucking up to be elders, they would start using the elder bag's.

  I also thought it was funny, how someone, just appointed as an elder, would have an elder bag, within a week or two!!!

  There was a real fruit loop of a servant, in one cong, I was in. He had the biggest catalog "elder" bag made. He would get to every meeting 30 minutes early, and take up half the front row, with all of his book's and papers. spread on the seats on either side of him!! If he had only known what the elders thought of him!!!

  Jehovah`s Witnesses Do Not Have a Clergy Class.

  no , they have the governing body { some would say the popes of the religion }.

  and you do not under any circumstance go against what they say./ .

  they also have branch overseers , district overseers .circuit overseers , and elders in a congregation .. they are all up and above the rank and file of the average ordinary jehovah`s witness and they are looked upon as such by the rank and file member as equivalent to a clergy class.. oh and lets not forget the legal department that has a lot to say in how the jehovah`s witness organization responds to allegations of child sexual abuse around the world.. and when an allegation arises about child sexual abuse the w.t.

  No PAID clergy class.

  Even as a lowly so called servant, it's very easy to see the endless system of classes in the borg.

  So many classes, and sub classes!!!

  I had stopped saying they had no Clergy class a long time ago!!!!!

  The property money: confront them with it

  dear friends,.

  with all the jevanka story's at the moment, i got this morning the bad perception that jw.org is playing nice guy with al this maffia money that they got selling their property in brooklyn.. money earned by the buyers with bad deals, political tricks and maffia connected asshole's.. this money is funding all the nice multimedia at conventions and broadcasting.. maybe a nice topic to discuss at the jw chart at the streets on our towns.. follow the money.

  it's all about money.. confronting them with this dirty money laundry is a strong argument.. what do you think about this???.

  Their response to that, would be, that the bible say's not to inquire at the market, as to rather some thing has been offered to idols, and that the same principal applies!!! They would most likely use that as to owing stock funds, that may or may not from time to time own stuff that's not right.

  If they truly believe what they claim, he would most likely step down for some other reason, and quietly leave, or maybe stay on as a non active GB member in name only, so as not to have to explain it!!

  I know two that after 30+ years announced that they had been mistaken. Some month's after a talk at the DC/RC, about how some had decided they were because of how seemly extra devoted to study of the bible, and prayer, also being deeply involved in everything service related!!!

  Update on Detroit-Area Murder Suicide - Front Page Article

  this was on the front page of freep.com this morning - sadly there are some factual errors in this article that people will jump on (not allowed to go to college was in original article for instance - hopefully the reporter will correct it).

  A long time pioneer friend of mine took her life 20 years ago. Some thing bad happened to he only child, and she just snapped. But it didn't matter, it might bring reproach on the borg, no funeral talk, or anything for her. In fact everyone was instructed, not to take anything that might tie her to the borg, into the funeral home, or to tell anyone that she was a jw!! A couple of the eldub's in that city work for the TV & Newspaper, it was never carried on either of them!!
