Sorry Kate, you don't get to tell me what my desires and motivations are OR question why I am here. You aren't my mom, you aren't an admin and you aren't in charge. So, none of your business, essentially.

You took the words right out of my mouth. I am no physicist, so I can't join in the conversation on a physica level. They both seem to be attacking one another for arguments sake.
I can't speak for village girl, but I am in the business of promoting science, not psuedoscience woo BS. I don't know or care enough about her to attack her.
As far as lurkers are concerned this does not help newly awakened ones find their way. It probably makes them even more scared to express their opinions. WT is a unsafe place to express our true opinions, JWs come here to freely express their thoughts and feelings. Villagegirl and Viviane have made this thread a hostile place for a newbie to express themselves.
You're not the thread hall monitor so please stop telling us how people would feel since you don't and can't know that. Because you are admittedly ignorant of the subject, it's an issue of expressing a thought or opinion or feeling, it's a matter of "This is factually and demonstrably incorrect and is being promoted as true and right".
It comes back down to pseudosceince and woo. I'm just not going to let it pretend to be real science.

Thanks for the compliment, DJS.
It was actually never a fight because you half right. I do know what I am talking about, Village Girl is simply arguing about a fundamental component of relativity she doesn't understand a doing a cut-n-paste barrage along with insults hoping to shut others up.
The fundamental issue is that I pointed out that space and time are the same thing, much like electricity and magnetism or energy and matter. That concept is a key foundational underpinning of both general and special relativity. That is what village girl is arguing about, so it it's very very clear that she does NOT grasp what she is cutting and pasting and insulting people about. It would be no different that someone claiming to have a degree in math yet not know what Cantor's theorem is or how sets works.
So, to put this to bed, rather that let village girl hang herself by not showing me hers, I'll show everyone mine.
So, from Einsteins own paper that village girl linked to:
From this it follows that, in respect of its role in the equations of physics, though not with regard to its physical significance, time is equivalent to the space co-ordinates (apart from the relations of reality). From this point of view, physics is, as it were, a Euclidean geometry of four dimensions, or, more correctly, a statics in a four-dimensional Euclidean continuum.
From chapter 2 of Stephen Hawking's "A Brief History of Time":
There is no need to introduce the idea of an ether, whose presence anyway cannot be detected, as the Michelson-Morley experiment showed. The theory of relativity does, however, force us to change fundamentally our ideas of space and time. We must accept that time is not completely separate from and independent of space, but is combined with it to form an object called space-time.
Now, I could go on and on, but the point is proven.

You apparently did not read this paper. Or understand the math.
I did both, thanks for asking. I am looking forward to you pointing out the error in my statement or the location in the paper I should re-read. I look forward to learning something!

Thanks for that! It explicitly reference a cohoerent space-time continuum, key to relativity exactly as I said. I really appreciate your posting Einsteins own papers showing exactly what I said and clearing up any confusion on your part regarding your posting proof that space and time were the same thing.

Thanks for that post describing your opinion! So, can you show the math where I was wrong? I only ask because a unified space-time is a key foundation of relativty, both generaland special, and you used e=mc^2, so if you are claiming that's not true, please show why. I look forward to learning something!
If, as you say, Einstein said space and time are not the same thing, please provide some links or show the math. I look forward to learning something!

Viviane is just a vain, silly, arrogant
ignoramous and you may be all those things
as well but you are CRUDE as well in a most unattractive way.
Looking forward to your math showing me I was wrong!

Viviane - YOU are incapable of admitting your own error -
NONE of my statements are ERRORS, NONE of them -
YOU made the ERROR not me - but you are apparently too
childish or arrogant to admit it. Your wrong, dead wrong,
about space and time being the same thing - your a fake
Please point out and show the math where I made an error. I look forward to learning something.

"One would think" ....oooohhh how very very sophisticated you think you sound
Straws, you are grasping at them.

DOES NOT PROVE TIME AND SPACE THE SAME
You keep saying that, yet space and time are the same thing, it's a basic foundation of the equations you post. Did you not realize that?
if someone told you that they are worong according
to Einstein himself and all modern day Physics and String Theory
and .... whats the use ... you don't get it do you ?
I truly do not get why you post things you don't understand.
