  yesterday evening my wife and i were invited to friends house for new year's eve.

  we met them when i was a christian and we have kept in touch.

  they had a few other friends there as well, including the new church pastor and his wife.

  Oh, you might also want to disqualify prophecies that where fullfilled by one person's actions, if that person had prior knowledge of the prophecy (Jesus, I'm lookin at you - riding into Jerusalem on that donkey...)

  That's an excellent point. Also, "prophecies" like in Daniel, where the earlier versions of the text don't contain the very specific "prophecies" that the later copies do, copies that only exist post-prediction. That is a case of clear retro-fitting of text to match events and is this NOT a prophecy.

  There are four basic metrics that a prophecy has to meet:

  1.) You have to be able to verify it was made before the event happened.

  As I wrote earlier, I specifically excluded that one. For the purposes of this discussion, we are allowing that criteria as a given.

  Yes there are holes, there are holes in the argument that God SHOULD do soemthing too, but these tend to be holes that are emotion based and from the POV that we, humans, want God to fix things our way and that we can't/won't understand why He doesn't and we think that He can't possibly have a good reason for allowing things to be the way they are.

  You are falsely ascribing a view that many don't hold and dismissing arguments as emotional. Those are both strawmen. You can do better. I hope.

  Name one and be specific. Is there a reason you often write so much on faith, the religion and the Bible and yet seem so reticent to name even a single specific prophecy that came true?

  I am not debating when they were recorded, I am asking anyone to name a specific prophecy that came true exactly as described.
