I am saying the PEAK YEAR for JWs for a given time frame is less than halve of the overall growth for that time frame for the population at large. In other words, the JW best year is less than half as good as the 10 year overall growth. I could get more specific and combine the exact years for JWs and get an overall or break down, year by year, the growth for the US, UK or AUS, but, you know, I'm feeling lazy

From 2000->2010 the US population growth was +9.7%, the peak growth for JWs was under +4%. Expressed as a percentage of population, the religion is shrinking, at least in the US.
For the UK, between 2003 and 2013 it was +7.5%. JWs grew at a peak of < +3%. Also shrinking as a percentage of the population. -

Astronomers Find Some Other Earthlike Planets Out There
by freemindfade inhttp://www.businessweek.com/news/2015-01-06/astronomers-find-some-other-earthlike-planets-out-there.
this is not really anything new, but every time i see one of these articles about earth like planets in habitable zones, i can't help but hear he echo of past indoctrination at wt studies etc saying "oh how unique earth is to be placed where it is blah blah blah impossible odds".
there are many more articles on this subject that have much less conservative ideas of potentially how many "earth like" planets could be out there, staggering numbers actually.

The ancients knew a lot more than we give them credit. Heck, if a Greek could stick a stick in the ground, measure its shadow and tell you the circumference of the earth, my hat's off to 'em.
Is your argument that because someone used repeatable and provable science and math to move knowledge forward that his cultures unprovable myths might also be true? Because I saw a dog and can prove it, UFO abductions might also be real?
As usual, religion gets it exactly backwards. -

1) We replaced perfect language (eg. Sanskrit, according to NASA, something they found out in their process of developing artificial intelligence) with imperfect languages.
As your first proof, you shouldn't pick something that never happened, that's only reported on blogs with no source reference and nothing, absolutely NOTHING every said by NASA about this.
Once again, you've got it exactly backwards.
racemic mixtures formed in the lab with no catalyst remain racemic. No sides win out in this case cofty.
Which, as has been pointed out many times, is still not evidence of anything you claim. It's simply your belief.

Kate, simply picking random things and saying "this is evidence of a guided process" doesn't make it so. To say something is evidence means to show a connection between the things. You've not done that. You've not shown how to connect the dots. -

HAD to be? That is a pretty bold assumption. Why does HAVE to be guided?
Because reasons and stuff. It's not, of course, evidence for any such thing, but that doesn't stop people from saying it.

But it opens mind-boggling opportunities: they may present to us completely man-made cells in the near future, thus would prove beyond any doubt that AN ORGANIZER was needed for the emergence of life in the first place, just like these scientists are ORGANIZERS of the doctored life!
Or, creationist, as usual, have it backwards.

Still pointing your Finger when having a Rafter in your eye?
by DocHouse inyes- everyone has faults and makes mistakes; an organization even more so.. yet, you ignore all the fingers pointing at you.. many here have no faith.
many here go to churches who lie about everything biblical; look at x-mas!.
but at least we know god and christ and try to live up to their name!.

I would live to see these numbers for the past five years as a per capita number. I can whip up a spreadsheet to show that if anyone has raw numbers for the JWs. -
