It's a good example of patriarchal thinking that you're OK with, putting women as second class. Cofty routinely destroy's your arguments and you make it plain that you don't like it. But, you've several times in this thread praised him and attempted to denigrate me personally Your posts make it clear that gender is a reason you feel particularly threatened and last out at me, in particular.

We've got FT on the one had pretending the Bible preaches morality for all and you endorsing a pro-rape, pro-slavery moral code while attempting to denigrate and mitigate someone because of their gender.

That's what it has to do with it, Fisherman. It's a shining example of how that second rate moral code enables you to feel justified in lashing out at you do. Your moral code would have me be a second class citizen and you, without even realizing it (I hope), are following right along.

The Confederate Flag

the latest controversy over the confederate flag just sums up to me the state of dysfunction that exists in american society.. in summary: a white supremacist nutter shoots 9 black people dead in a church.

he's clearly inspired by the messages of others which the confederate flag is often a symbol of.. it seems like a no-brainer to remove it.

not only isn't it removed, it isn't even lowered at all as a mark of respect.. and of course now there are the people who want to defend their right to have it.

Are you honestly suggesting that the Golden Rule and Good Samaritan and Prodigal Son morality has no place in the 21st Century?

It's more interesting why you think 1) those morals are unique to the Bible 2) your wishes trump others (golden rule) or 3) that children should be rewarded with comfort and ease for wasting their life and money.

Among other things, Judge and scorer of above 98% in the LSAT, Cofty aka Vivian?, whether anyone at all endorses or believes in the Bible's moral code that you do not like, does not affect the Bible in the least as being inspired by God or not being inspired by God.

I've no idea what madness your on about. LSAT? Me and Cofty? The Biblical moral code? I've no idea how in your head you are stringing these things together or what you mean.

IF you need some help with your mental problems resulting from your fears, go to a doctor. IF you have a problem with the liberty that people enjoy in believing in the Bible's moral code, tough for you, and whether you like it or not, in the USA that liberty is the law of the land.
