Labeling one self "Atheist" is Unscientific
by LAWHFol ini have not meet all atheists, and it would be foolish for me to assume that all atheists, share the same prototypical view points.
i am inclined to feel that this classifies the views of a large percentage of atheists.
"atheism is, in a broad sense, the rejection of belief in the existence of deities.

"I am having a sangria at this very moment with the friend mentioned on the letter to Angus, her laying on the couch with her feet propped up on my legs while I work."
I've since crossed my legs, propped on an ottoman and one of her feet is tucked in between my crossed legs. And I've not showered since Sunday morning.

In hindsight, she probably should have said, "poopy." It's much more polite.
Until Control starting imagining insults, I'm not sure I ever used "crappy" to describe his poor logic. I would have to go back and look.

Viviane I cannot imagine you ever as a witness, as little as i know of you (only your Ronda Rousey debating style). Were you like an insane Pioneer? or just sort of found yourself as a witness one day and you were like wtf is this madness??
Born in. Tried to get out at 16, but threats and no where to go kept me in, so to avoid going insane I shoved all doubts to the back of my mind and shut them out, met a boy (I specifically mean boy) when I was 19, got married, kids....eventually was able to support myself via education and work and got out at 35, was mentally out in my late 20's when I could no longer pretend it wasn't all bullshit, but pretended to go along for several more years while I planned my exit, both financially and as a parent to ensure I would not lose a court fight over my kids if it came to that.
Now I rely upon no one and nothing for my happiness and well-being. I am wearing a bracelet that says "Demand Evidence. Think Critically". I am having a sangria at this very moment with the friend mentioned on the letter to Angus, her laying on the couch with her feet propped up on my legs while I work.

Your logic is crappy is not an insult?
No.
So, your brain is stupid. Is not an insult?
Yes, but since no one said that, it's pointless and irrelevant.
Or, your face is ugly?
Possibly, but since no one said it, pointless and irrelevant.
Your inability to use your brain?
Possibly, but since no one said it, pointless and irrelevant.

I just sent this email to Angus Stewart:
Mr. Stewart,
I hope this email finds you well. I would to say thank you for your work on the Royal Commission, particularly in your handling of the Jehovah's Witnesses elders and experts during questioning. Your skill and preparedness is evident and it makes me quite happy (as a former JW myself) to see the light being cast upon their handling of crimes in secret meetings and the utter disregard they have for the victims.I have been watching the delayed Youtube videos of the commission (delayed as I am in the U.S. and you are conducting the proceedings while I am sleeping) and find them quite exciting and educational to watch. I particularly love the depth of work you have put into learning about their policies, past and present, and tie those back to the notes and actions of the elders and branch, which brings us to the point of my email.I was giving a friend a re-cap of the events (as she was never a JW, she prefers a re-cap to the excitement of watching all of the proceedings) and said I should send you a nice bottle of Scotch as a thank you for your amazing work. She correctly pointed out that I've no idea if you drink Scotch. Hence, in the interest of not saying thank you in a useless way, do you drink Scotch?I hope that is not out of line nor would potentially violate any ethics rules you may be bound by.Thanks,XXX -

That's nothing. I'm more impressed that he can find a hooker, i mean, a date on craigslist, get her to his place and complete the transaction in 30 seconds ;)

I actually wasted 30 seconds of my life trying to figure out which sense of the word idiot wasn't insulting.
Then you worried about it 30 seconds more than I did :)

Kind of like saying
"I conclude that you are a very knowledgeable idiot.
(Not in the insulting sense of the word.)"Yeah, the main difference being that I am an adult and anonymous strangers lashing out at me in futile effort because they got emotionally invested in a logical argument is something I utterly don't give a shit about :)
