Who is they and what are you asking to see? We see pictures of satellites orbiting all the time. There is an app that shows you where they are, websites that do the same, I see them personally all the time. What, specifically, are you expectations?

Why is Nasa saying they need to figure out how to cross the Van Allen belt for their Mars mission? Didn't we figure this out back in the 60's?

They didn't, the "article" you linked to as "evidence" is, and I am going to be polite about this, shit written by morons willfully taking things out of context in order to support their fucknutter position.

Humans have landed on the moon multiple times, there is overwhelming evidence to the contrary including TV footage, technology left behind, photographs and evidence brought back.

If there is something specific that inclines you to think it was faked, let me know :)

Biblical Prohecies That Came True?

recently there have been several claims made regarding prophecies that came true.

i've not personally seen a prophecy that i would consider as having come true.

i would consider the following as the requirements to say something is a prophecy and evaluate whether or not it came true:.

predicted ca 760 B.C: Amos predicts Israel would be restored as a nation and would never be uprooted again. ( Amos 9: 15)

How can we tell is it's fulfilled if there is a "never" clause in it? Also, the UN re-created Israel. The prophecy also says the mountains will drip sweet wine and the hills will be dissolved. Has any of this happened? Hint, it has not, therefore, no prophecy has been fulfilled.

Two minutes for you is impressive. All the ladies say say. Well, it's in the personal section of CL, anyway, they could be ladies. Plus, I took care of my own problem before you came around. ;)

The only reasonable way to extrapolate would to be do it by country stats. Number of cases per 1000 of child sexual abuse in a given country then reduced it out to the same ratio per 1000 of jw in the same country.

I don't think that would works to get us close (but, so far the closest). The reason for that is that insular, secretive religions tend to have serial molesters with victims at the ready, often in a position of authority and friends in power ready to defend him, something an offender in the general population doesn't generally have.

It's a better number than we have now, but the problem is that this has been hidden for so long, distorted, records destroyed, etc., with all of these churches, that we've no real way to estimate what the number may be because of this and a variety of other reasons.

I would be careful with publicly presenting the e-mail sent by mr. Stewart. In fact it's breach of confidentiality. I'm not so sure mr. Stewart will appreciate this, Viviane. I don't mean to criticise you, I'm just worried that your good intentions might harm mr. Stewart, while he's doing such a great job and even is so polite to reply to the messages he receives.

Posting his email is not a breach of privacy. Legally, it's no different that repeating a conversation we had. We had not privileged relationship, no contract of confidentiality, the very nature of email means that there are at least several copies of it spread around the world outside of either of our control, there was no disclaimer (which are 99.9% useless) in the email, he wasn't sending me confidential info, etc. Whether or not someone likes it or it is etiquette, etc., is a different conversation, but in this specific case, there was no breach of any kind of confidentiality.

I was doing this after a lot of no sleep and got excited and ahead of myself.

How do you know your assumptions are anywhere near ballpark or consistent? 4.5 calls/month, 60 years, etc.

Based on what, apparently, the worst attorney in all of Australia said. The lawyer for the branch that handles these calls said he personally gets 3-4 calls on child abuse per month.

I'd guess there might also be other demographics at play too that could push those numbers one way or another.

Correct . For instance, a case doesn't necessarily equal a call, there was, for a long time, no requirement to call the branch, etc.
But, THE LIST WAS CONFIRMED TO EXIST!

Im not sure that assumption is valid. You included far too many variables that are unproven (number of calls, people taking calls) as indicated by your frequent use of the word "assume".

I reached that conclusion in my second post. Keep up,slow poke.

i actually started clapping at that point, as his honour explained to the wt type creep sycophantic slithery lawyer that........" i understand that we all have issues to face in life and .....that is a part of life...........however it has become obvious that this man ....is in such a position to assist with this investigation.....".

it boils down to the fact that stewart outright accused the latest witness of misleading the royal commission and this lead to some document searches which led his honour to conclude that they had been protecting mr jackson.

this was a warm and fluffy moment folks.................brilliant stuff!!!!!
