Which God? The Trinitarian God or the God of Abraham? They are not the same.
Oh? Do tell me more...
if jesus was really viewed as the greatest teacher who ever lived...........why would a 3rd party need to explain his teaching?

All things point to God having enough of it which is why we see so much recklessness in the org. right now plus all the pedo suits coming to light. God has clearly given his back to the WTS.
The org, in terms of behavior, is no worse than any other group of Christians. That's not a sign of God doing anything.
hello, i am certainly new to all of this.
i have recently been studying the prophecy's, and i was wondering if they are of any importance at all?
I ask a question. Relevance is something you look for not me.
I do. I expect someone asking a question to have some kind of idea why it matters. I will not make that mistake with you again.
recently there have been several claims made regarding prophecies that came true.
i've not personally seen a prophecy that i would consider as having come true.
i would consider the following as the requirements to say something is a prophecy and evaluate whether or not it came true:.
The specific details are there, so much , that people that understand what they read, cannot believe that it is a prophecy but that it was written after the fact.
Please name one such prophecy.
God is not going to spell it out for you how you like it
I didn't ask for it to be spelled out how I like it, nor did I ask God on this thread.
So far, no apologist has been able to provide a prophecy that came true as foretold exactly with names, dates and details that can be verified. You've claimed that exists, I am very interested in seeing it.
( I could draft a much better illustration, but I do not have the time. I trust you get my point.)
I've no idea what your point is since God is invisible and silent and, rather than idiotically wonder what to do, he idiotically killed everyone everytime he was a little irritated, unlike the woman in your example. She could have called the sheriff, built a fence around her land or, if she was more like me, provide the final warning with her AK47 and shotgun in tow.

Your answer was better than Cofty's.
Cofty's answer is excellent. You've not demonstrated why think your question is relevant.

Cofty - the may have been written by different people, but the teachings came mainly from the apostles and Paul. Most of the apostles were unlettered.
What is your proof of that? The gospels contain stories and ideas that are never mentioned by Paul. In fact, he shows zero knowledge of the Jesus of the gospels. Very odd if he was the source of those teachings.
So if the writings are false, explain how it circulated in a non-internet society. It is noted by many scolars that you could not preach the resurrection of Jesus to such a degree if it were a lie in those times.
How did Zeus and Thor get to be well known in pre-internet times? Why do you associate the truth of an argument with how widely it was circulated? Also, who are these scholars and which of their works do you refer to?
Yes you could find writings that apply to Prince Charles, but you could not find some 40 books written over such a period of time that could - with every parallel pointing to him.
You don't have that. You have claims of that, but when examined, the writings clearly are not about Jesus or are just plan wrong.

Do you have a first century source for you claim?
The writings themselves are the source of that knowledge.

JohnAmos,
Was your intent to provide a prophecy that came true? If so, you've not done so.

Well, you'll just have to wait then.
Actually, I don't have to wait at all. People make that claim every day and every day it is proven wrong. With a 100% failure rate over ~4000 years, you can trust that I am in no way waiting for a prophecy in the Bible to come true.

How can one man take all of the paralells relating to Esau-Jacob, Moses, Aaron, The Tabernacle, The Red Sea, prophecies relating to King David, heaps of stuff in Psalms - (the list is endless) fit into his life?
Please tell me which specific parallels you are referring to, chapter and verse, and we can see how well it all fits together?
Also, if these fishermen were such geniuses to understand the whole of the written word at the time and contort it to fit Jesus life - that would be a miracle in itself.
The gospels were written by men not Jesus' apostles and written in Greek.
I understand there are people here that are hurt by this organisation and don't believe. But let's not make the same mistakes that the org made us do. Cherry pick one scripture and misapply it.
Cherry picking and misapplication is often how prophecy is derived. I don't understand how this is related to an organization, it's a problem endemic to Christianity itself.
But as I began to deprogramme all of the crap and look at the bible as a whole, you can't deny that Jesus was the Messiah that was prophecied - it all points to him.
I do deny it, therefore it can be denied.
