  Well, in my search for truth I found a real good explanation as to why we can't just point the hublle to the moon and see the landers

  Well, we're near Austin, but still a very conservative area.

  Round Rock? Pflugerville? Hutto? I uh, used to work for a company in that area.

  It originally said "don't" then was edited to say "do". Very odd.

  They are. At least in my daughter's district. What's surprising is that this district is in Texas.

  Nah, it follows the basic pattern...

  1. Ask questions

  2. Get answers

  3. Misunderstand evidence, critical thinking and logic

  4. Viv, DJS, Cofty, FMF, Oubilette, VI, etc, explain how all that works

  5. Blame Viv for not understanding any of that

  6. Get schooled in misplaced anger

  7. Complain that Viv is a big old meanie

  Nope. I won't. I never said I would. I've consistently said I would be happy to discuss things you brought up and that I wanted to understand what you have done to understand them so we have a starting off point for discussion. I've no idea why you expect me to do your work for you. In the time you've been researching me and complaining, you could have done research on the lost tapes, flag waving, heat transfer, etc. Why haven't you, if you are truly interested in debate and discussion?

  And I don't want you to be doing my homework for me....but the way you question people on "What is Spirit" and wont give a direct answer to my question is hard for me to comprehend.

  I've given you several direct answers and explained several times why I was saying what I was. I can't make you understand it. And the other topic is another topic. If you want to discuss that, post on that thread. I won't discuss it here.

  No.

  You're more than capable of looking that up on your own. If you have specific questions, we can discuss them. So far you've asked some questions, but when pressed on what research you've done into this, the answer is "none". You've no basis for dismissing evidence until you do some research and attempt to understand the evidence. I will not be doing your work for you.

  No. That's utterly irrelevant.

  Today I learnt According to you bringing up topics on this debating board requires an advanced knowledge of the subject.....special qualification....I must read the rules.

  I've no idea how or why you decided to make that up.

  Off topic and I am sure you will answer this question. Complete the following sentence " I think I help people visiting this site find the truth about Jehovers Witnesses, because........"

  You may be right Vivianne. please present the evidence" as the plural of " uninformed opinion" is not open for debate.

  The dictionary.

  What specific questions do you have, why do you think the way you do about them? I am happy to discuss the moon landing, but I don't just throw information at you without you doing some of the work to understand it and think about it.

  I'm not even sure what you are trying to say there.

  Second you asked if I have looked in to the subject and yes I have watched documentaries, and entered in to debates when friends or work colleges have raised the subject

  Have you looked at the evidence... the answer you are giving indicates you've not looked at it.

  But I am glad I did because the opinion seems so evenly divided 50:50. Therefore I will keep an open mind.

  The plural of "uninformed opinion" is not "open for debate".

  When I was a witness we always had elders that intimidated people by their use of words. Questions were not allowed, or the motives challenged. Sometimes I regret not allowing my quite voice be heard....Anyway now ." I AM AN UNEDUCATED EX-WITNESS" new on an ex jehovers witness forum, and Vivianne you made me feel like I was talking with an elder again.

  So, not to sound mean, but I really don't care how it made you feel. You're suggesting that an elder not allowing questions has the same effect on you as someone suggesting you examine freely all of the evidence related to your questions. Neither response makes you happy, so I've no idea how you expect anyone else to do anything about or be concerned about it.

  Go look at the evidence. Think about why you think what you do about these things. Understand how to look at evidence. No one is stopping you, but if you are asking us, me, specifically, then you have to step up and do your half of the work as well.
