Viviane, long before we had the Internet and forums, we had people who liked to bully people. Hitler was very good at it. The a Elders were very good at it. And Internet forum bullies are very good at it.
Wait, so, because I don't respect your lack of work to educate yourself and belief that your lack of work carries weight in a discussion, you're bringing up Hitler? That's ridiculous for two reasons, at least: 1) you're not being bullied, you're just not getting rewarded for being lazy and 2) I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that you being butturt isn't on par with the murder of 11 million people.
And you know what the difference is in my opinion between you and Cofty ? Cofty try's to educate, inform and teach. He cares and likes people.
Well, this isn't the first time you've have a wrong, uninformed opinion.

Do you agreed with Ben Carson, Muslim should not become president??
by James Mixon ini do believe islam conflicts with constitution.
your thoughts.

because lets face it the heart of Islam is necessarily violent and intolerant.
Of all the many many Muslims I know, not one is violent or intolerant, at least no more so than many of the Christians I know.

So in conclusion shut up with your little jokes, when you don't even read a thread. Or do me a favour think of something origional to insult me by when your reply.
Your anger is showing, dear. Is that the source of the attempts to hurt people's feelings?
rather than foolish belittling comments from people who were only sure they were right.
This from the guy that's calling names and intentionally trying to hurt others.

Viviane, I guarantee the man you offerd a bottle of whiskey to would, ( if he could accept ) find sipping the whiskey bitter if he had to read your daily posts
Whisky isn't sweet and I don't post daily. I assume you were attempting to insult me, but the lack of quality control and accurate data in the attempt undermined any slight you were hoping I would feel or barb you were attempting flick in my direction.
Having said that, don't let it get you down, keep trying, you'll get there. I mean, not with me, of course, you're utterly impotent when it comes to hurting my feelings, but I am sure you could intentionally hurt someone's feelings if you work at it.
Well I took a lot of shit from Vivianne and her side kick DJS for this thread.
No one gave you any shit at all. Not one speck. You're confusing an utter lack of respect for your position (namely that of doing zero research, not bothering to understand the science, logic or thinking of your topic and then somehow expecting your opinion to carry any weight with those that HAVE done the work) with give you shit.
They are not the same. I assume you are a decent person, well, apart from attempting to hurt people feelings on purpose, of course. That, however, in no way implies, demands or suggests respect for an erroneous opinion and lack of effort on your part.
So aside from Vivians " insecure" bully comments I learnt that the money spent on the moon project produced a lot of great science that benefited the world I live in today
Yeah, I get that comment a lot, usually from people, usually men, who are shocked to find that if they don't bother having an opinion worth respecting, I won't bother respecting it. Someone me not respecting their laziness is bullying in their minds, which, interestingly, is another opinion not worth respecting.
IF we can't respect each other in a civil way, on a discussion forum who cares?
Again, you're conflating respecting your opinion and position on something you've not bothered to educate yourself on with respect you as a person.
What right do we have to explore outer space, with the trillions of billions when our own world is falling apart?
Every right.

That's it! The Jesus stories are most reasonably explained as myth. History makes this obvious.
by Island Man ina careful examination of the historical pagan religious context existing at the time of the genesis of christianity leads any reasonable person to conclude that jesus is just another one of several similar myths.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kn7teoa9ark.

Death is not something to be feared!
by iconoclastic inscience can explain how of things, but it cannot explain why of certain things (for example, why did life arise from non-life and evolved from simpler creatures to more complex life forms only to die and disappear?
) so are the conflicted religions whose chief concern is in safeguarding each ones separate identity..
next option is to look for pearls among the stonesusing power of our own reason.

Ruby, calling a woman "hormonal" rather than addressing the substance of her argument is a cheap insult. Smarten up instead of telling me to lighten up. -

WHEN people leave a cult...MAN landed on the moon? Or critical thinking......
by The Rebel ini believe anyone who has voluntarily left a cult has shown they can adapt to new solutions, and have used " critical thinking" skills otherwise most would not have left.. yet i believe a safe place for support is still needed and this safe place i believe is searched for.. now i may not measure up to much in ways of education, but for me personally " critical thinking skills" = " new" a " new" way of thinking, that takes time for me the individual to be visual and to contemplate.
and the more i read about " critical thinking," the more convinced i am that i can live with the ridicule of those that claim i do not possess it.
furthermore i would say those that criticise others " critical thinking skills," often luck the sensibility and thoughts to snore, spit, and fart....nor would they understand a room full of tobacco smoke and cheap booze...where " critical thinking " can often be found in its most profound, in the most sensitive poems and "pictures" that were ever drawn.

I did insert humanity, specifically that part that protects us from the type of thinking that get us anti-vaxers, global warming deniers and the like.
