Still pointing your Finger when having a Rafter in your eye?
by DocHouse inyes- everyone has faults and makes mistakes; an organization even more so.. yet, you ignore all the fingers pointing at you.. many here have no faith.
many here go to churches who lie about everything biblical; look at x-mas!.
but at least we know god and christ and try to live up to their name!.

Why Do Atheists Struggle So Much Against God Who Supposedly Doesn't Exist?
by Perry inan athist made this casual statememt on another thread:.
this would suggest to me that there are at least some atheists that do have consistant beliefs.. .
as an atheist, how could he possibly trust the reason that suggests this to himself?

Theists..especially ' born agains ' who claim to have had a personal and sometimes physical manifestation of christ or his presence imo are coming from a psychotic state of mind.
This brings into perspective the workings of the human brain and the reasons why it can so easily be duped.
The fact that o.p. poses such a question is a symptom of this condition.
I for one hope that the quicker they return to reality they will enjoy a better fulfilled life.
Many of us are testament to this.

Hi cry to... the human brain is a master conjurer, there are many many precedents to this fact.
The real jesus christ to you is as real as belief in many deities by countless people the world over.
They will also have personal testimonies as convincing as yours.
Some will willingly give their lives or even sacrifice the lives of others for their god.
They all think they have the true way.
What FACT makes you think you are correct?
As I say the human brain is a master conjurer.
Best wishes

Hi apog...by your reasoning it is the length of 'time' which makes them correct!!? How absurd.
You must be knowledgeable enough to know of many beliefs which have been shown to be incorrect although they were believed for hundreds or thousands of yrs,
Passage of time brings new knowledge and evidence and understanding.
Best wishes.

I am an atheist, I have no struggle against my non belief in god.
In fact I have an inner contentment because I don't believe in god.
It gives me satisfaction and happiness that I brought up my family to think independently, none of my children (three) believe in god and have shown me they are thankfull that they did not have an upbringing which which included bowing the knee to an unseen supernatural deity.
Believers imo base their knowledge of theism on ancient hearsay and disputable uncorroborated myth from far less knowledgeable people.
They take their courage from the belief that faith is certain when in fact it can only be the exact opposite.
Their intellectual honesty they are prepared to cede because of fear.

Hi cryto...thankyou for the reply;.being that jws are motivated by their love of jehovah, the ransom sacrifice of jesus christ and guidance of his earthly brothers the faithful and discreet slave (the Governing body ) imo you are you will be lacking the ammunition to preach to them as you seem to only be relying on your own strenghs.
Are you sure there is no supernatural backing for your cause?
Best wishes.

Hi cryto...a question;..are you directed to take this course of action by your own volition, or by some other influence?
If you fail in your quest , who would be responsible for that?
Best wishes.

The OP makes the connection with hate and shunning very clearly.
Who would argue that shunning loved ones or those that have a different opinion of belief is not a loving action?
They may argue that they are being loving thereby exalting the GB above their family or others , but imo that misguided reasoning is closer to being hateful.
I am on the receiving end of it.
