The human brain has the ability to allow God (of your choosing) to show himself. Wishing or indeed needing the existence of a God does not mean that God exists in reality,distinguished from the reality of existing in the mind (brain) of the person who requires this area of comfort. Consider that any evidence or reason you have for your belief in God was formulated in the Neuro mechanics of your physical brain.

Why I have renounced Atheism and become a believer again

i have now seen enough to start believing again, i am so happy, i feel a inner contentment, when he connected with me i really knew it was him.
if you are not a believer you will not understand this, but trust me, look at the evidence, open your heart to him, let him in and your life will change for the better.

Rodney Spinks' Performance
by maksutov init seems like there has not been as much discussion here about the rc testimony on day 6 (4th august) as there has been about previous days.
i was quite surprised by rodney spinks' testimony, which was a marked contrast to the bungling and inarticulate testimony of the elders that appeared before him.
spinks seemed reasonably co-operative, and a lot more willing to concede points than anyone else has been.

Spinks made murmurings to the commission that certain aspects of jw judicial procedure may be reviewed but in no uncertain tems outlined their belief that worldly government is in their opinion temporary and that the gb aka fds interpretation of scripure will prevail imo to the detrement of victims . Their excuse for the present judicial set up is based on their interpretation of scripture is it not ? My question, what will they change will they be forced under duress or will they put up a fight. He already cited examples of jws going to prison rather than capitulate. -

Spinks has unequivocally told the jws that in the face of scientific evidence or methods or procedures with regard to child abuse which can give help and justice to victims, if it is deemed contrary to the gb aka fds interpretation of scripture ( at this time as there is precedent that they have altered their understanding of Scripture by way of ' new light ' usually as a result of being in a tight corner ) they could still suffer harm as a result ! Oh how loving and caring of them ie protect the organisation at all cost first innocent children second. -

The lion kills to naturally sustain itself, it does not consider its prey to be exotic. The hunter on the other other hand has killed this animal as a trophy of sport. I wonder how the person who did this would feel if his life was at risk by being seen as an object of sport? -

@.caleb..@island man...the op asks the question of deliberate deception by the governing body, as the gb consists of more than one person we would have to assume the possibility that all members use deception simultaneously which imo is highly unlikely, or certain members are persuaded or possibly coerced into agreeing that a ' new understanding ' of a previously held belief should be presented to the jws as the spiritual food from jehovah gained through them by means of the holy spirit. It is this second scenario where I believe there is deliberate deception..eg the understanding of ' the generation ' notice the gb aka fds did not change their understanding of matt.24:34 until the realisation that their then teaching ( supposedly gained by jehovahs holy spirit direction ) did not 'add up ' to subsequently then change to a different understanding involves not only wilfully or unknowingly deceiving themselves as a whole or by majority binding decision ( and would we ever know if there was dissent ) but also as a result deceives the so called domestics.
As for ideologies (bodies or ideas of a group religious or otherwise ) imo there can be no more a fundamental ideology than the whole basis of jws believing that the fds/ gb is directed by jehovahs holy spirit to provide their spiritual nourishment, the fact that they use the deception of ' new light ' to justify their beliefs is built in to the construct of their continuing existence, otherwise they would be a much reduced religion or exist at all to the present. They are imo a religion which exists entirely through deception.

@Caleb...re. Japanese imperial 'new light ' would you agree that new policy formed from known and compulsive evidence to enhance a cause is diametrically opposed to the gb's make it up as we go along because we're in a corner attitude? I see it as deception for survival at the expense of the gullible.

When David splane (gb member ) exclaimed in his stanley theatre adress regarding : ' who are the fds ' he admits it was an 'idea' which he refers to as " we love this idea ". Where do they get this idea or notion?imo it's pulled out of their collective asses to steer their hypocritical organisation in the direction which suits their knowingly deceptive purpose of control over their directed unquestioning adherents.
Yes I think deception stares out of their eyes while inwardly knowing to question their unqualified authority must not dare to be challenged.
They are charlatans of the highest degree.
